Jennings
Here is the completed artwork for the forthcoming 1/144 C-17 sheets from Xtradecal (www.hannants.co.uk). Sheet X44005 features all USAF units not covered on the Revell kit decals (Charleston & McChord), and has markings for just about all the named airplanes (there are a couple we simply couldn't fit on there). The kit decal is used for the national insignias, walkway lines, stencils, etc. Enough extra numbers are provided to do practically any C-17 in service in the USAF or ANG. Sheet X44006 features "foreign" users, including the RAF, RAAF, and Canadian Forces. The Canadian birds are unique in having all dark grey markings, so all necessary markings are provided for them, with the others using the parts from the kit decal as well. All serials for the a/c operated by all three air forces are provided on this sheet, so literally any aircraft in service can be built from it. Stay tuned on the Hannants web site for more info. thegoodsgt
Holy crap, that's some nice stuff. I'm starting to dig the prospects of building larger aircraft in 1/144 scale. Let's hope these are signs of increasing interest in the scale. It would be particularly nice to see additional kits or conversions for the C-130 and P-3.

andrew.deboer
Looks great! My problem is that I'll be building one. And then I'll have a bunch of deckles left over. I'd like it better if I could just get the markings for the plane I wanted. I guess I could make the left side of the plane from one base and the right from another, at least I'll get a little more bang for my bucks. And sell the rest cheap. bdt13
I'll need to buy a new shelf to fit all these models. I don't know how I can choose just one!

If that were the case, your individual decal would cost more than both of these sheets combined. Not the greatest economic model. J
