latormentabritanica
Ugly, very ugly, but the nostalgia and history make up for that!
yardbird78
I assume that that is a one-of-a-kind paint scheme and not common for all FW birds???? Is that one from Terre Haute? Darwin
GreyGhost
I kinda like it ... Gregg
Cobrahistorian
Indiana should know better. Looks too much like a QF-16 to me. Definite tip o' the hat for the historical significance though! Jon
otis252
I agree with Fuji, big time. Chuck
Skull Leader
man, what IS IT with the viper guys and these old retro schemes??? At least theirs doesn't look like a Stearman, I guess...
ARK HERKY LOAD
Yea Its not the best looking thing in the world, I thought it looked like a drone tail as well. It was at Little Rock for a Dog and Pony show we were doing so I thought I would post it for folks to see.
Fouga23
That's so ugly, it might as well be used as a drone!
phantom
It certainly DOES look like a target drone.
Joerg
Indiana should know better. Looks too much like a QF-16 to me. Definite tip o' the hat for the historical significance though!Jon You´re right, it certainly looks like a QF-16! So at least there is hope that some other fighter pilot thinks so too and blows this ugly thing out of the sky! :) Cheers, Joerg
Bill
I like the concept but something just does not look right. Maybe they could have done it in a more modern look with soft edges and more color blending and not such stark paint lines. My two cents.
ThePhantomTwo
I assume that that is a one-of-a-kind paint scheme and not common for all FW birds???? Is that one from Terre Haute?Darwin This was Terre Haute's Retro bird,it's been over a year since we lost our Vipers....... We didn't take on the linage from any other squadron,we started flying back in 1921,FW's squadron/group/wing didn't come into being until after WWII.
