GCA333
Well, its been a long, long road, but the airliner GB moved closer to happening! Today the final decision was made. It is all eras (GBNF is encouraged) civil and military airliners. Felix (VC-10) and I will be running it. We are working on getting sponsors for the GB. We are hoping for January 2009 to June 2009. Brady
Sounds good. I'm guessing you mean January thru June 2009? You've got an "8" up there.
GCA333
Yeah, thanks Brady!
flyfort17
Sounds good to me too. This is my first GB. So no building until it starts correct?
Adam Baker
Think I might try taking part in this one. Got a 737 w/ Simpsons decals Ive really been wanting to build, and this might be the motivation I need to do it. Will be my first airliner model.
David Walker
So no building until it starts correct? Depends on what the group build moderators decide. Some group builds will dictate no more than 25% complete, 40% complete, etc., in order to be included in the group build.
Samurai_Chris
I think I originally stated that I would do an ANA 747-400.. But now I am thinking of scratching a 1/200 Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental...
David Walker
Now that should be an interesting project! I can't wait to see how you do the saw-tooth engine cowlings.
Samurai_Chris
Now that should be an interesting project! I can't wait to see how you do the saw-tooth engine cowlings. Actually David.. I just ordered another 1/144 747-400. So I will use the extra parts I have of one of the kits I have and will now do it in 1/144...
Ed Nirel
Well, its been a long, long road, but the airliner GB moved closer to happening!Today the final decision was made. It is all eras (GBNF is encouraged) civil and military airliners. Felix (VC-10) and I will be running it. We are working on getting sponsors for the GB. We are hoping for January 2009 to June 2009. Well, since GBNF is encouraged, I will leave my banner the same! And now I can include my other stuff too!
GCA333
We will allow up to the fuselage being glued. No paint besides primer. More details about this later.

oldHooker
You can put me down for a 1/144 Revell A-321, US Airways, with various surgical inclusions. Take care, Frank
GCA333
How about that window 3d thing you showed us? With the 'people'? Looked pretty cool!

AnthonyWan
Hmm, maybe I will partake in an airliner or a few  College apps are finally winding down a little Definitely gonna get a couple Tu-154M's in...Siberian Lime Green Scheme and Aeroflot...unless I can find markings for these: http://www.airliners.net/photo/S7---Siberi...154M/1334182/L/ or http://www.airliners.net/photo/Turan-Air/T...154M/1414176/M/ or http://www.airliners.net/photo/Moscovia-(G...154M/1410618/M/ . Then I would have some serious dilemas =Awan
carioca
As a first group build, I think it's nice to have an "All you can build" theme, wide enough for everybody to take part, no matter how much of a beginner or of an "Old hooker" you are ( ), or what you got in your stash. Next, we can do something more restrictive, if everyone agrees that airliners are really engaged in the modeling scene around the web! "Is it an airliner? Join the GB!" I say!!!! Question: can I "enroll" an airliner which is already taking part in another GB? Or does it have to be an exclusive piece of the ARC GB? Regards Eduardo Edited October 31, 2008 by carioca
GCA333
I would say exclusive piece. I'll see with Felix.
