indydog
Any word from the "Powers that be" about the Airliner GB?
GCA333
It is confirmed, January to June 2009. Other that that, no.
Mr. Silverback
It is confirmed, January to June 2009. Other that that, no. Count me in...I'm not sure which one I'm building, but I've got a lot of airliners in the stash and it will be a minicraft bird.
GCA333
Great to have another one with us!
theplasticsurgeon
Looking forward to this GB, and building something different - BUT is it going to appear on the ARC GB Calendar http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index....showtopic=47420 ? That's what legitimises a GB as an official ARC event in my mind, and notifies it to a wider audience.
indydog
That's what legitimises a GB as an official ARC event in my mind, and notifies it to a wider audience. Same here. It appears, however, that a few updates need to be made to the GB page. Under Current GB, the F-111 build has already ended and under Future GB, the IDF GB has already started. oldHooker
Hi Tim & Mark... and all, SBARC (Steve has been given the information concerning the GB and replied via PM that it is a go, so the rest is now up to him. If none of this get's the Mods attention however, I think we should go ahead on and post a GB Thread in HERE and start building on January one as we've planned! Once they see what we're doing, the Airliner GB will get it's own thread in the GB forum..... and if not, we've already got it going in here. Feedback? Take care, Frank
martin_sam_2000
if this is a go I am in. I have an A319, A320 and A340 with post 1999 light blue Air Canada scheme decals in the stash!!! Sean Edited December 6, 2008 by martin_sam_2000
indydog
Heck, I'm in no matter what. I will build either a Italeri Lufthansa Ju-86 or a Roden Lufthansa He-111C, hell, maybe even BOTH!
Ed Nirel
I'll be ready for pushback come January! I've got some cool stuff lined up and am excited! Until then, I've been working on an F-100 over in the in-progress pics section. Check it out if you like: http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index....howtopic=170064
GCA333
Yes, the GB has been given go-ahead. I haven't been in touch too much (hit with the lastest computer virus, the day it came out). Like Frank said, if there isn't a section, just create your thread in the Airliners forum, and have it moved over when the GB section is created. -GCA333
carioca
I'm in, perhaps will have to change my option to something else other than the PanAm L1011, but i'm definitely in. Regards Eduardo

Team 4R
I wanna play too! So, what's the objective? Any airliner in any airline scheme? Is the scale regulated? This would be my first group build ever, so I'm just trying to wrap my mind around the objective... Edited December 12, 2008 by Team 4R
David Walker
Yup, any airliner, any scheme. And the scale is completely up to you. And basically it just so we can all get together (online anyway) and build and share some passenger planes.
Team 4R
Sounds good to me... I've got a dozen 737s to move across the workbench.

Mr. Silverback
I noticed we're not on the Group Build Calendar. What's up wit dat?
oldHooker
Hi Silverback, SBARC (Steve has been given the information concerning the GB and replied that it is a go, so the rest is up to him. If by January one there is still no slot in the GB forum, an Airliner Group Build thread will be started in the Airliner Modeling forum and we'll contribute to it in the same manner, until eventually it comes to Steve B's rememberance and we're assuming, he will then set us up a place in the GB forum. Take care, and welcome to ALL those who have enlisted! Frank Edited December 14, 2008 by oldHooker
