Trojan Thunder
Nice to see you build is still coming along Ian, I have not had a look for a while and it is looking great. Seems there won't be too much longer before it is finished!
RKic
almost there Ian. I think you'll be finished in time
4scourge7
Nice comments guys, appreciated! It does help as Bosse says in his thread :) Finished the last of the minor touch-up work on the airframe; silver tip on radome, green expendables boxes on underside tail-booms, and added the GPS reciever. The GPS is a small green dot STBD of the airbrake, and in 72nd scale it just needs a dot of paint to represent it. I started glossing up The Ra`am for decaling, tonight. The GBU-39 are ready, their BRU-61/A racks are close behind. I also began the AMRAAM, and Nav/Targeting pods tonight. I realised that all my spare AMRAAM were for semi-recessed Typhoon stations and only had six fins instead of eight, massive BAH! So I found my old Hasegawa AAM set and robbed it. The missiles were early AIM-120 with the real big aft fins, so I trimmed the tips of the fwd fins, and cut down the rear fins to get myself a pair of AIM-120C as seen in The Isradecal book on The Ra`am. Cheers all, Ian
4scourge7
Evenin` Just a few details left for the basic airframe undersides. U/cart next, after topsides decals. It`s gonna be a photo-finish! Cheers all, :P Ian
4scourge7
Okay, last stretch now. Just the topsides to decal, weapons almost ready (SDB and racks turned out good, at last), then undercart. PHEW! Cheers all Ian
Marlin
Looking Good Ian. I really like the SDB's. I hope to lay my hands on a few someday. Cheers , pouring the first IPA for the evening. Bosse from Sweden
4scourge7
Cheers Bosse! :) I`ve been trying to charge on with The Ra`am, so hence fewer updates. Last few days saw decaling completed, and the matt varnish coat went on tonight. All that is left is canopy frame, U/cart, and stores...I think I`m going to just squeak it in time. Pics next time, I hope. Cheers all, Ian
RKic
I'm sure you can do it!
4scourge7
WOOHOO! :) Just finished The Ra`am! As She is still upside down to allow u/cart and weapons to fix tight, I`ll have to post pics tomorrow. Almost dropped the whole kit and caboodle when adding one of the tanks, AAARRRGGGHH! SAVED, HURRAH! I`m going to get plastered, see you all in The GB Lounge Bar, one last time. First round is on me. Cheers all, Ian
