Alpha Flight 1/48 Short Sunderland

Recommended Posts

Lots of test fitting , sanding , test fitting , moaning , swearing i fanally got it all to fit. I wanted to get the interior all fixed in place before painting. All of the floors , bulkheads etc had to be trimmed and sanded a bit to fit. The plasticard is for a massive air bubble that i didnt realise was there until it broke off. No big deal , sanding , plasticard , superglue and milliput made it all good again. Im wasted now though , its been alot of hard work but im really happy so far. Once all of those interior parts are in , its very sturdy

Lots more detail to go in the cockpit yet and i will make a box spar.

Verrrry cool indeed.

I will follow this closely as I too have this kit to build. Great work so far! Dont suppose you could snap a shot of how you built that spar etc?

Cheers

Very interresting build of an extra-ordinary aircraft.

I always have had a weakspot for this bird since I first saw it.

Sure will be following this build with a lot of interrest. Hopefully You'll

go for the all white scheme with the camo on top. Good luck on Your "porky-pine" !!!

"Check Six....."

Spooky.
