illithid00
Basically, anything goes as long as it has SOME connection to aviation. Thus, no pure spacecraft. It has to be capable of flight within an atmosphere. A model should be less than 10% completed to enter it into the GB. Basically, if you're finished with a cockpit, it should be ok, unless you totally scratchbuilt the entire pit. The What-If Group Build will run from 1 December, 2008 until 1 June, 2009. If I forgot anything, mods feel free to post here. Mods for the What-If Group Build are myself, JasonW, Vesper, and ChernayaAkula. Oh yeah, I forgot the most important part. Have fun! illithid00
I also wanted to mention that this GB isn't limited to models. Drawings or paintings are also eligible and welcomed.
Tomcat RIO
aww.. there goes my plans to build a Israeli camouflaged Incom T-65 X-wing fighter. by anything related to aviation, which means alternate colour schemes, extensively modified and upgraded existing planes, or kitbashing of many types of aircraft allowed? Yes, alternate color schemes, modified and upgraded aircraft, and kitbashing to create new aircraft are all allowed. The rules are fairly loose on this build.
sv51macross
It just has to 'look' flyable.
illithid00
It just has to 'look' flyable. Pretty much. It has to be a mainly atmospheric vehicle. Spaceships are cool, but they're probably better left to a Sci-fi GB sometime in the future.
sv51macross
Well a bit of sci fi never hurts. BioMeth turbines, AI avionics systems, futuristic alloys and composites, antimatter/heavy particle beam weaponry, Motoko Kusanagi in a bikini-what? Sorry! ::D:

Sorry! ::D: Nothing wrong with a bit of sci-fi, but this build should be kept atmospheric.
sv51macross
Right, get my head out of the clouds....Motoko in a bikini-what! Damn, sorry!
Davfoe
aww.. there goes my plans to build a Israeli camouflaged Incom T-65 X-wing fighter. Actually, that would be admissible as the X wing could fly through the atmosphere a la "Empire strikes Back and the Degobah scene or the Cloud city scenes . But now I guess I'm showing TO much geekiness!
