Tophat25
Hi, I just scanned through latest issue of "World Airshow News" magazine http://www.airshowmag.com/ And it has 3-4 VFA-11's in formation with -211,106 birds at NAS Oceana show. 2 of them have CVW-1 'AB' codes and one still in -3 codes. Has there been a change? Navy web site doesn't show it...yet!!? Hey Navy? TH25 Edited December 5, 2008 by Tophat25
GreyGhost
TH, Darren Roberts answered your first query of this subject on the 1st ... VFA-11 is indeed moving over to CVW-1. I haven't heard back from anyone, but I'll pass along any info I get. Not wanting to sound mean or anything but did you forget where you posted your question the first time ? HTH ... Tophat25
VFA-97 are also now assigned to CVW-11 Yes I saw that the "Warhawks" are back in town!! VFA-94"Mighty Shrikes" are now over in Japan (UDP)as this unit was, showing the Marines, how to bring in the New Year all proper like!! Be interesting to see where -86 puts there new CVW-11 'NH' code, inside stabs or down the rudders? Are they still the sole Navy VFA at that East Coast MCAS,it is Beaufort,SC right??
