tpartlow
Gentleman, Does anyone know if there were decals made for the Alaska Airlines "Salmon Thirty Salmon" markings either in 1/144 or 1/200 scale? Thanks in advance. Tony Partlow
Waco
Strange name for aircraft markings. It's almost like they're trying to promote or advertise something. I wonder what it could be?
Tony P
Minicraft were meant to release this scheme soonish. Although I can't see it on their website anymore.
Jennings
Nobody has made, nor is anyone going to do the "Salmon Thirty Salmon". Licensing demands from the airlines have become so ridiculous that it's now virtually impossible for any mainstream manufacturer to do them. Minicraft had two new 737-300 releases on tap (and decal artwork finished) and have put both on more or less permanent hold. In addition, the Alaska salmon airplane would require a decal that was offset printed, and that would be about twice the size of the box - not really practical in commercial terms anyway. junglejim38
Here's one I spied in October at Seattle, passing through on the way to California. Thought it was pretty neat. If it's even the same thing yer talking about. I'm baffled by the incredible array of airline markings visible at any major airport. And I thought there were a lot for F-18's! Jim Edit-A-ha! I finally got it! 737= "Salmon Thirty Salmon" D'oh. Edited December 11, 2008 by junglejim38
