Wow Ted, your work is truly inspirational!!! It's great to see such amazing talent! Do you mind sharing the references you are using for all your detailing? I have the A version of this kit and would appreciate knowing where to look for photos or sources.

1/35 wiring, bound together with 1/35th zip ties???? Who does this?? Really, this is just fantastic work. Can't wait to see the kit come together. I thought about doing a 1/35 Chinook at some point but all the resin from Cobra was $100+, then you still have a ton of work to get things detailed. Just too much for me. Glad to see someone has the courage to do this kit.

Thank you Carl,

The book Chinook in detail by Wings and Wheels Publications. and the web site Prime Portal is good , and you can Google Chinook i hope this helps.

Ted.

Thanks Ted! I'll keep an eye out for the Wings and Wheels book.

That's for sure. I quit modeling back in the '70s and recently returned to the hobby last year. One thing that strikes me is how expensive this hobby's become. One thing I will say though. The builds I'm seeing today, far exceed those I admired back in the '70s.

Amazing detail, this is really inspirational. I'm building a 1/35 scale Hind at the moment and I'm trying to super detail that. I spent a lot of time on the engines and with the plumbing and wires there, but this is really something else.

It's definately helped inspire me in my project too!

You are amazing! How do make the hex shaped nuts and fittings? Don't tell me you carve those from scratch! And like the other guys wondered about how did you make zip ties? Amazing. I know 1/35th is a big scale but it's still a scale and not the real thing. Please share your amazing secretes with us. Stunning work. Everett

Thank you Everett.

For the hex nuts i use hex rod 0.8mm and 1.0mm from Plastruct ,and i use pipe fittings # 1 and adapter fittings #1 by Detail Master Co.

The zip ties i use detail wire code #DM 1101 by Detail Master and twist it together. Hope this helps.

Never heard of any of these (I think I heard of Plastruct), where do you buy them? I wonder if it would work for 1/48th? Again outstanding work a pleasure to see. Everett

This has to be one of the most impressive helicopter builds I have ever seen. I'm not a heli expert so I don't know what is right or wrong, but what I do know is that your craftsmanship is top notch, and it looks utterly convincing.

Excellent, and the shading on the pilot figures clothing (last pic) is some of the best I have seen anywhere.

Brilliant work, and a bucketload more patience and skill than I fear I will ever posess.

Matt
