What do you want to build in 2009?

Recommended Posts

first goal is to finish building a 1/1 scale model shop building so I can actually go back to building models again (we found out that SWMBO is allergic to modeling fumes)

then, I'd like to get my "one of each USN tail code" collection finished off,,,only have 6 of those to do to complete that,,,,,,then I can start on the "one from each fleet carrier" part,,,on my way to "one of each USN squadron deployed"

so, it boils down to I'd like to finish (in 1/72) 1 F-11, 1 F-3, and 4 A-4's,,,,and start on the F-4's and F-14's

I plan a major F-8 spree in 1.48

I have 3 x RF-8 Conversion, also have conversions to do 2 x F-8C and at least 1 x F-8K

A lot of work but should be fun.

Also trying to throw in some aerobatic stuff with at least one T Bird and I have the decals for the Minute Man F-16

I'd just like to have a build in which I don't run into a brick wall somewhere along the line causing it to drag on interminably.

I hear ya on that one!

Some of my goals:

1/144 Revell C-17 (CAF)

1/72 Monogram or Hasegawa F-4D (Kansas ANG)

1/144 Hobbycraft RF-84 (finish it for the Gone but not Forgotten GB)

1/144 Revell F-104G

1/144 Dragon HH-60J (come on, this one has to be next in line to be released, right?? )

1/72 Revell Drakon (won this in the raffle! Thanks Nate!)

1/32 Trumpeter MiG-21MF in German markings

And I'd like to build more 1/72 stuff next year too.

Happy Modeling!

I just want to finish ONE! I am getting close to finishing a 1/72 Super Hornet, shooting for the end of the year. Maybe move on to my Eduard 1/48 X-1 after that, which just needs fidley parts and a good paint scheme... but that has been sitting for oh, maybe six years.

1/48 Hasegawa F-16D converted into an F-16I Sufa using CMK resin kit.

1/48 Academy Su-27UB in Begemot Russian Knights decals (when they finally get over here in the US).

1/35 MRC Kiowa Warrior with Floyd Werner resin update....already started....probably 40% complete

1/48 Tamiya F-117 with full CMK resin update.

1/48 Revell Eurofighter Typhoon straight out of the box except for some Two Bobs Italian decals.

That will probably do me for this year. If I can do more, I certainly will.

So many possibilities, so little time......

First, finish the F-101B for Cobrahistorian before he calls in favors and actually sends the National Guard to pick up their model and pummel me into the frozen tundra of Nebraska. Then:

A 1/32 Revell F-4J from 1974 for the agapemodels.com "Every Kit Has A Story" group build

Finish the Academy 1/48 T-33 Blue Angels

Continue work on Project Stratoliner

Probably a Heller 1/48 Mirage IV

Oooo, I know. I have a Testors 1/48 YF-12A with all the AMS I can handle in the pile. Maybe that.

Rediscover 1/72 scale

Here's one I'll bet you haven't seen- Ertl 1/25 International Harvester 1466 Farm Tractor

And since I see others giving Anagrand a try I'll play too. Anagrand 1/144 C-74 Globemaster

Give away some more kits, somehow.

Ok, that's way more than a year for me.

LOL!!!...Ohhh...let's see...

How bout:

1) Italeri 1/72 C-130 US Coast Guard

2) Revell 1/48 FA-18E

3) Revell 1/48 FA-18F

4) Revell 1/48 F-16C ADF

5) Revell 1/48 F-14D

6) Revell 1/144 C-17

7) Heller 1/72 French AWACS

8) AMT 1/72 RC-135V

I laugh because that's all that I can see hanging around my workroom. I know there's more. LOT'S more. If I FINALLY finished all that were in the works....I'd clean out half my stash.

It's a sickness you know....

Paul
