haneto
R-73 missiles are detailed-up on the base of parts from ICM MiG-29 "9-13". IMHO,the R-73s in ICM kit are the best in 1/72 scale now. The details of nozzles are scratch built.
haneto
After painting. The colour I used are Mr.Color, and so is the number on the picture. Hope that'll give you some ideas.

haneto
Attached to pylons.
haneto
I mis-painted the fins of R-27 missiles in flat black, but actually they should be Dark Steel. So I just grab all the missiles and hand painted the fins on them by Mr.Color Super Metalic SM04 Super Stainless. After washing, put'em back on the pylons. Just a kind of correction. And the effect really makes the whole thing look much better. Cheers, Yufei
joachim
woooooow but for real, you just fool us. You putted a real 1:1 flanker on its top and try to fool us so we think it's a scale model??!??!!??!! really look great. GREAT paint job and suprb decalling!!!!! Specially the sigaret looks like real
joachim
ps; how do you do the decalling? it really looks so good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! explain in steps please. thanks
haneto
Thanks for the comments, joachim! About decaling,I used some numbers from my spare decals. Just like other deca applying,I should suggest you to cut the unnecessary area as much as possible. After applying them on missiles,as the decals are too tiny to hold on the surface thouroughly,I hand-brushed them with a little Tamiya extra-thin cement. But be very careful that too much cement will destroy not only decal but also the painted surface beneath the decal. Be sure to have some try before doing the formal ones! Hope that helps. Cheers, Yufei
