James H
Nice work so far Ralph. I quite like the look of The Indian machine. Those Chakras look cool. Jim
RKic
And its done. Turns out I have the tail flash on backwards after all, but I can live with it, as its only model. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out, but I must say that the kit wasn't really too much fun to build. It may have been the non-acrylic paint which made the post-painting stage a little screwier for me considering that I couldn't pull any of my turpenoid tricks that I so enjoy. Or it could have been the fact that this was my first serious attempt at NMF finish, which was intimidating at times (nevermind the tempest II review on MM - that was me fooling around with a can of testors metalizer several years ago). It may have been the frustrating little inaccuracies in the Academy kit (see my cannon issues above for example, or the seam on the ridge of the canopy, or the generalized lack of detail). Whatever it was, I'm glad its done, and it'll be some time before I do another metallic finish. Doesn't it look chunky sitting next to its Hasegawa cousin? James H
Nice work Ralph. I think it looks pretty neat, and those exhaust stains are good. I'm not going to use the slipper tank on mine as it's now a Mk.18, so it's good to see it fitted to yours. Jim

Rampage55
Super build Ralph. I like your choice of markings, those roundels look sweet. You may have struggled with it but it sure turned out nice. Mark Edited February 18, 2009 by Rampage55

nickdanger
Great looking Spit! So that's just Tamiya Chrome Silver airbrushed, or do they have a rattle can? Either way, that's is a great looking NMF - I usually go with Alclad but like you, that stuff gives me the willies.
