Flyboyf18
I am going to build CF188701, with the extra long pitot tube (about 6 feet) and loaded up with either GBUs or CRV 7 rocket tubes. There is an excellent pic around of 701 in a dive on our range near Cold Lake firing the CRV 7s and having the 'Pinnochio' nose! The base kit will be the new Academy 72nd early F-18 and I have scrounged the long pitot tube from one of the early Hasegawa Hornet kits which is probably close enough to what we used at AETE. If time permits I might also have a shot at an NRF-4C from Edwards and do the bird I got a ride in when we were there for some TPS support. Game on!! :)
slick95
I know I'm not in this group build (wish I had found it before building this model), but I figured I would add a model to the inspirations thread just to give you guys some ideas or a boost to get building :D. I have been watching with interest, so I can't wait to see more finished models! SLICK
