Marlin
Hi. I've been way too busy at work to make any kind of progress on my build. But I did find a little time this weekend. I've installed the flameholder rings. I also tried to close up the intake. I didn't have this trouble last time I built a Hasegawa F-16, maybe my kit is just more worped than normal. I hope this clamping will straight things out. I also ended up with a seam to fill on the underside. But a few strips of plasticard will take care of that. That's all I have for now. But more will follow. Best Regards Bosse from Sweden
Marlin
Well finally I got something done. I've been bored with this build. I wonder if it's F-16's ? I had the same stall last time I built an F-16. Here's what I've done tonight. The wings are on. The wingjoint took some sanding to get right. Burner rings got some paint. I've added some white to the front landinggear well. And of course continued with the PE parts in the main landinggear well. If I'm ever to get my collection of F-16's together I think I'll have to build one F-16 alongside something else. I don't think theres is anything wrong with the F-16. I like the looks of it. Maybe it's because it's soo ordinary. You see one everywere. I think I'm more in to the earlier era of the IDF/AF. Maybe I'll dig out a Mirage or an A-4 to get back in the mood. That's it for tonight. Thanks for looking and Best Regards Bosse from Sweden
Marlin
Hi. I've not droped this build, but I can't seam to find the right motivation for it. Here's what I've done since the last update. All the IDF/AF special antenna is on. I've glued the vertical stabilzer in place. Unfortunally I still have some trouble with the seams. I've filled them with Mr Surfarcer 500/1000 and they should be OK after a sanding session or two. I've also installed the PE cockpit sill. I'm also working on the afterburner and the landinggears, so painting isn't that far in the future. Comments are always welcome. Thanks for watching and Best Regards Bosse from Sweden Edited March 8, 2009 by Marlin

doctorpepper
Both 020 and 601 have the data system on an extended nose probe. I'm quite sure that the telemetry system can be deconfigured and the aircraft can be returned to normal service. is it possible that some time in it's life, the aircraft 020 and 601 did not have the extended nose probe etc? Marlin
I'm quite sure that the telemetry system can be deconfigured and the aircraft can be returned to normal service. is it possible that some time in it's life, the aircraft 020 and 601 did not have the extended nose probe etc? I don't have the answer to that question. Maybe someone else here knows? If so, it will save me some time scratchbuilding the nose probe. doctorpepper
do remember to clip off part of the wing tank wings - they are actually somewhat parallel to the fuselage, not pointy like hasegawa did
Marlin
Hi again, I'm back. I've taken a sort of time-out. I've been building but not updating regulary. Here´s a few pics on what I've been up to. The airframe is painted and ready for the decals. (Almost) Perhaps there will be some decals next time ? Otherwise, I've mostly been working on my Kurnass and just started a new Ahit. Pics are in the WIP section. Thanks for looking and Best Regards Bosse from Sweden. Marlin
Hi again, I promised decals and decals there is. First clean with fresh paint. Some data stencils and Magen Davids Tail markings of Manat. Left side of the aircraft. Decals are a mix of Hasegawa, CMK and Isra. The CMK's are a real dream. They snuggle down without softener. So this build continues slowly. I hope I'll be able to meet the deadline. We'll see. Thanks for looking and Best Regards Bosse from Sweden
Marlin
Updated. Now all the decals are placed. Starboard side. Dehlilas So I'm getting nearer to the end. We'll see if I'll meet the deadline Thanks for watching and Best Regards Bosse from Sweden
Marlin
Hi again, Ive matt coated the upper surfaces on this now and started on the main landing gear. Not soo much of a progress, but I've almost finished my Kurnass that I started last year so maybe I'll have more time for this Barak now. We'll see. Thanks for looking and Best Regards Bosse from Sweden
Marlin
Hi, I've been busy with the main landing gear bay this evening. Lots of very small bits of PE today. All in all it was a PE session. I think now I'm getting the hang of PE. I don´t think I ever will build an aircraft without it. MLG. There is a lot of small bits going all over the the place. This Eduard set contains cabeling. And Oleos for the MLG Here I've mounted the hardware for the retaction oc the gear doors. After all that PE was mounted I could glue the fuselage part over the landingearbay Comments, critique and hints are always welcome. Marlin
Evening, I've managed to do some small work on my Barak this weekend. The batterybox (PE) is painted and ready to mount in its holder. I'm continuing with the white on the undercarriage. And I've started with substituting kitparts with PE on the nosegear. But I'm sad to say that I will NOT be able to meet the deadline of June 30th on this build. My first two weeks of vacations is just around the corner and I'll be spending it in my summer cottage away from kits and internet. But I will finish this sometime during the summer. I will post pics of it when finished. Thanks for watching and Best Regards Bosse from Sweden
4scourge7
That is a shame Bosse, things are coming along nicely. But we all need R&R, I agree that is top priority. I look forward to seeing your Barak finished. All the best, Ian
