volzj Posted February 7, 2009 Share Posted February 7, 2009 Your best bet is to not only put the decals on first, but to seal them with a second gloss coat before doing the wash. This helps protect the decals from the wash and avoid any possibility of the wash bleeding under them. Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Huey Gunner Posted February 7, 2009 Share Posted February 7, 2009 Just my 2 pennies here. I use MM or WEM enamels and artist oils for my washes, which is reduced with solvent based "turpnoid". Therefor I use an acryl based clear coat, "Future" or Testors Acryl Clear. That way when one finish doesn't adversly affect the other. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
