UKPonchoMan
Hi guys, I have the Unimodel RQ-4 which I am planning to build this year. As I understand it, the kit is a Block 10... Can anyone advise as to the difference between that and the later blocks? I recall reading somewhere that the Block 20 had longer wings? And does anyone have any drawings / plans which would be of help? Many thanks in advance Chris
viper50
The Grumman site has a bunch of specs on both the Block 10 and Block 20. Block 1o is 116.2 in wing span, 44.4 in length and 14.6 in height. The Block 20 is 130.9 wingspan, 47.6 long and 15.4 tall, so there are some differnces. The payload is greater for the Block 20 also. Check out their website and be sure to go to the gallery. Don M. http://www.is.northropgrumman.com/systems/ghrq4b.html Edited February 20, 2009 by viper50
Deino
Interesting tread ... I surely will follow it ! Besides that, does anyone know why all operational "birds" still have white wings ????? Deino

UKPonchoMan
Absolutely! It's the only true scale Many thanks for the response, viper50! Chris
viper50
Here are some more images I found, pretty cool stuff. I have always thought the GH was an awesome bird. The first link shows the size difference between the Block 10 and 20.Don M. http://www.northropgrumman.com/unmanned/gl...s/05837904v.jpg Be sure to check out the videos at the bottom of the page. http://www.northropgrumman.com/unmanned/gl...lery/index.html Edited February 20, 2009 by viper50
UKPonchoMan
Some VERY nice pics there! At this rate, I'll never get around to actually BUILDING anything!
pookie
Chris,I presume this is 1/72nd or otherwise I would have it??? thanks, joe. I am building a 1/48 model made by Attic so don't get excited. The wings are 100% useless, warped and uneven in thickness, shape. The fuselage is OK. No landing gear or antennae. No decals. Jennings
Am I the only one who'd rather see a new injection molded kit (in either 1/72 or 1/48) of the Global Hawk than a new kit of an A-6?? This thing is awesome! J

This thing is awesome!J Not by a long shot, Jens. I don''t need another A-6. Please make my Global Hawk in 1/48, though. joe.
pookie
I am glad there is a kit, although crappy. I built Antares' little predator drone in 1/48 in a weekend. Very nice build. The only thing I didn't like was the landing gear legs. I had to sand them down considerable to make them look more realistic. they were too thick.

This thing is awesome!J No, you're not the only one. I would also love to see a plastic injection molded kit of the Global Hawk, preferably 1/48, but I would also accept a 1/72 one. In fact, I would like both the Block 20 and the Block 10 versions. ;) Larry
