`60-`70s era navy pilot gear question

Recommended Posts

What are these guys wearing? Does this gear look like Navy, possibly wearing a SV-1 or -2 survival vest?

If so I wander if all Revell Century kit Pilots are the same. If they are what model did they actually start off with first.

In this scale who could possibly notice? I don't think the relative sizes of the egos between Air Force and Navy pilots is visible in this scale :jaw-dropping:

Aren't the helmets of Marine Corps pilots usually a couple of sizes smaller..?

*ducking for cover in asbestos suit*

Cheers,

The pilot's chest is shown pretty good in 1/48th scale jets. In the F-101, the cockpit sill is around the bottom of your biceps.

The F-101 pilots showed to be a problem when trying to figure out what was what, since the pilots wear orange flight suits, for the year mine is scaled after. Pretty much now they are setup to either fly over the Great Lakes or the Pacific Ocean with Naval Gear on
