Hey Honza.....that's a neat addition. So much more scale looking.

Where'd you get the idea..........? :worship:

:D

p.s,...may I make a suggestion? Perhaps you could leave the etch flat at first, only glueing the front edge to the turtle deck. Leave the aft edge free until later in the build and then glue it down to the upper surface of the wings/wing glove at the finish. That way, you should get a nice even curve to the etched parts instead of having to roll them first. As you've discovered, getting the curved section to look even is difficult. Just a though......HTH

Thank you!

PE parts made Wojtek Fajga (thanks again!). It wasn´t my idea......

And I don´t know, if I undestand you right, but wings, flaps, slots are not glued now...

And PE parts will be now little corected...

But thanks, I am happy that you (Big tomcat builder) like it. :worship:

Hi Honza, thank you for your explanation. Wojtek Fajga makes great brass parts. I just wish his chosen scale was 1/32nd! -_-

I apologise for not explaining clearly what I suggested earlier.

Like you, I found rolling the parts to be troublesome so my solution was to leave the trailing edge un-glued until after paint, then glue the edge down to the plastic of the wings. By just applying pressure to the very edge of the brass, the metal should curve smoothly and evenly.

I hope this makes things easier to understand.

Great work so far. This will be a spectacular Tomcat when you are finished. :worship:

Perfect picture, thank you very much! Now I understand absolutelly.

Your Idea is really good. But PE parts are now glued... :-(

But some other tomcats are in my plans for future....... Thanks again.

Beautiful work as always. I have a quick question for you, do you rivet first, then apply your primer, or do you primer first then rivet?

-Al

Sometimes rivets first, sometimes is first primer....
