MESHER
What's some options for good scribers for 1/48 scale? Brands, etc.
hkshooter
I use the Bare Metal scriber. Very sharp, works much better than the Squadron scriber I have. I also occasionally use a UMM saw blade. http://umm-usa.com/onlinestore/index.php?c...a1995591329c8de http://www.hobbysetcohio.com/bmf003.html

MESHER
Sorry about that, I should of found this thread. Thanks for the link. The only scriber available to me in my area is the Tamiya one, so I was hoping to get some feedback from others on it's performance.
Phantom ordie
Go to umm-usa.com and order thier scriber. it is the easiest to use and by far the most versatile. About 12 bucks.
caudleryan
A needle in a pin vise works great for me. I have the Squadron scriber and only use it to gouge out plastic. It's great for that. RYAN.
Cougar
The only scriber available to me in my area is the Tamiya one, so I was hoping to get some feedback from others on it's performance. Hi Mesher, I have the Tamiya Scriber. It's works quite nicely but just be very light with it until you've worked up a decent line. Also attach a piece of sheet brass with some tape to the model if you can to prevent slipping and work on a sturdy surface. Regards, Cougar
