latormentabritanica
Hello all, I want to build my 1/48 Hobby Boss F/A-18A into a Spanish EF/A-18+ during Operation Allied Force in 1999. Are there any changes I need to make to the kit to make it an accurate Spanish Hornet? How about the colors? Some profiles show them being two-tone gray, while others show them as being monotone. They look monotone to me, and seem to be the same color as the AIM-7's they carry in the photos. Any experts out there on this? Thanks!
DONG
Spanish F-18's are 2-tone ghost gray. FS 36320 and FS 36375
j-basset
Yes, the Spanish EF-18's are two tone, as mentioned by others here. You might want to check out the F-4DableModels Export Bugs 1 decal sheet (48-001). There is one Allied Force jet with mission markings included.

latormentabritanica
Thanks guys for the help with colors and markings. I already have the Aztec Models sheet and will be trading the serial codes around to make an OAF participant. Are there any other things I need to add or correct to make this kit right? David Walker
Make sure you have some photos of the plane you're going to model. If I remember correctly some of the Spanish aircraft have the launch bar on the nose gear and some do not, but I'm not sure if this was true in 1999 or not.
