Flyingfortress
So far, the F-111E is going great with NO fit issues to speak of...that is until now. Does anyone have any ideas as to how the forward fuselage can join with the rest of the fuselage without that nasty step between halves? There's a 'lip' meant to be used as a guide for the two parts,if I sanded them off thus making a flat-to-flat join, will that help? Any ideas will be great.
Jennings
What kit are we talking about here? J
Jennings
Ugh... good luck. I thought you were talking Hasegawa 1/72, in which case I'd say you did something wrong. On the Academy kit, well, good luck with that... J
Fox One Decals
Use pieces of sheet stock to make tabs on either side.

The way to do the Academy F-111 fuselage is to join the forward fuselage to the upper aft section, then add the bottom. This will allow you to get a good fit on the upper fuselage, the area where you need the best fit because it is so prominent. When the bottom fuselage is added, you will have a step, but it is easier to deal with because the plastic is most straight.
Raptor01
This is the easiest way. I will be building the Academy FB-111A with a whole lot of Scaledown, Verlinden Resin soon. I have to finish my present build. John http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index....=119081&hl=
