'69 Constellation squadron help

Recommended Posts

Hey all,

I need some help with squadrons stationed aboard the USS Constellation from 1969 to 1970. the only one I know of off hand is VF-96 Fighting Falcons, but I need info on the Attack squadrons and the other, if any, Fighter squadron and what they used.

Thanks,

Dave

The information I have (special magazine from Airforces Monthly about carriers), says that VF-96 wasn't on the Constellation in that period, but on the America from 04-10-1970 to 12-20-1970.

On the Constellation cruise from 8-11-'69 to 05-08-'70 were the following squadrons:

VF-142 F-4J

VF-143 F-4J

VA-27 A-7A

VA-85 A-6A&A-6B

VA-97 A-7A

RVAH-7 RA-5C

VAW-113 E-2A

VAQ-133 EKA-3B&KA-3B

HC-1Det5 SH-3A

HC-7Det110 SH-3A (not entire cruise)

Hope this helps
