david sMiGielski
I managed to track down some decals for a silver F-102, which is a scheme I've been a fan of for a long time. My initial thought was to just shoot the thing with Tamiya's Silver Leaf spray bomb, but I'm wondering it there is an Alclad match instead (realizing fully that this isn't a natural metal finish). Anyone have thoughts?
Murph
I'd be more inclined to go for the Tamiya solution. From pics here it's pretty obvious that there's a big difference between the unpainted intakes and aft hot section and the rest of the airframe. Regards, Murph
gmat
I believe that it is the same aluminized acrylic silver as used on KC-135s. Don't know which paint would be best. Sorry. Hope that this is of some use. Best wishes, Grant
UKPonchoMan
Not sure about this - as I recall, the paint on the F-102 was a silver lacquer which I'd guess was the same as on the early F-105's. The paint on the KC-135 was "Corrogard" which is a completely different thing?
