One for the Russian Mafia

Thanks for the link......

Interesting mix of Su-27UB's (single nosewheel, raked fintips) and Su-30MK2V's (twin nosewheel, square fin tips) - both fitted with MER's.

I'm not sure they that all the single-seaters are Su-27SMK's - I thought they only had Su-27SK's.

Although 6006 does have reinforced horizontal stabs - which is a feature of SMK's - but it's difficult to see whether it also has an offset IRST ball.

Great photos though...

Ken

Two more pics:

Su-34 02 and 03, dashing at full speed. Note external tanks, as well as differences between these two aircraft.

A breathtaking pic of a Kazakh MiG-27 being flown in after overhaul in Ukraine. I have never ever seen any Russian aircraft as clean as that..

Beautiful, beautiful! thanks for posting!

That Kazakh -27 shot *is* breathtaking!

Hmm... Is the ventral side really white? Or just very pale gray. Nevertheless, a gorgeous looking bird.

Whoa, what is up with this sudden slide of epic pictures of Russian planes!? :coolio:

I found many interesting things in the thread that Ken posted. MiG-29UBT kinda? Cool.

This MiG-31B is upgraded. New pylons seen (kinda like those on the new Su-35) + antenne on the top of the canopy. Is it just me or does the refuel probe look different?

Wow! A lot of pic here, showing the underside of Su-35 nicely! (click on the left album)

Don't forget to click on the 'Large Photo' link below the above photos - the one that says in Cyrillic ...'COXPAH.... etc'

Great photos of the underside of the Su-35 - now, where are those top shots ???

I'd go with the same grey as the rest of the underside - check the sides of the intakes, that's the same way the light hits it.

Great pic indeed!

Cheers,

Andre

Breathtaking! It's nice to see MiG-27's still serving proudly.

It's hard to tell from the photos, but does Kazakhstan put roundels on the tops of the wings?

Here is one, originally found and posted by martinez from Key Publishing forums, way too elusive not to be shared with you guys. The only photographic evidence so far was image from Google Earth. You are looking at the Holy Grail for all rare aircraft hunters all over the world. Enjoy.

Su-24MK Fencer-D of Angolan AF stored at Catumbela AFB. Unique find, unique camo with no markings.
