It’s a later version. The cargo area is also flat and not rounded. Flankerman built one on this site a while back and might have more information in the thread but here it is from his site.

Yea, I was looking a different websites after posting trying to find out about the rear door change in the later models and that new sleek nose.

Thanks for the link, a most interesting read.

There are two distinct types of solid-nosed, rear-ramp Hips....

 

Those bulit by Ulan-Ude and those built by Kazan...

 

The Mi-8MTV5 is Kazan-built, the Mi-8AMTSh is Ulan-ude

 

Note there are differences in the nose, the rear ramp, the cabin heater shape and the sliding-door arrangement...
