ixgr1
Hey - Ross and Julian Thank you for the kind words - it looks better in the flesh than the photos. As I said --at least it's a PC-9 in 1/48 ! Messerschmitt? I can see an Arado influence, and one of its distant antecedants the P-2 had a lot of Arado influence. I have read that it did have a fair bit of Messerschmitt influence. Something about the wing basically being a Bf-109G wing with inwards retracting undercarriage, but I do see more Arado influence in it than Messerschmitt. The Messerschmitt comment was only what I have heared through hearesay (and dark memories from Airfix kits as a boy !) - i think it was Russ from DMG that may have suggested it ??. I aggree about the Wing design though - but can't comment much being a WWII semi-Ilitterate (G) The front cowling and fuselarge shape, seams quite Arardo - now that you mention it. luke
Good Work Steve. Really like the colours of these birds. I think the canopy is great for a first attempt! Oh, yeah, I should mention that I too got the L&M resin 48th RAAF special kit form VIC Hobbies about two months (or maybe more ago, but after you started building - how's that for inspiration!) for a similar price. Not started yet, but considering it . . . when I find some time.

luke
. . . . the L&M kit, . . . how much did you get it for ??? I saw them for ~$180 ? Yeah just shy of 179 I think after p&h. The actual mould parts are similar however it looks like, when comparing your start pieces to the L&M kit, that the L&M resin pour and finiah was a little better in surface and edge crispness. My digi camera is old and doesn't work, but would be good to do an on-screen comparison.
