theplasticsurgeon
Here's what I'm building - the yellow option. Kit won on Ebay in 2004 for the princely sum of 2.11pounds. A colleague's son had the YellowJack decals left over - hence I acquired them. USAFSIG has just furnished me with the decal placement sheet - thank-you, so I'm off. I did a small amount of cockpit painting this morning - before taking my traditional Box-contents shot:

theplasticsurgeon
And here's today's progress. This plane will be on the ground - without the pilot.
theplasticsurgeon
Not much progress this week, but this is what it looks like now: I'm undecided about a pilot or not.

theplasticsurgeon
I've just brush painted the underside of the wings with Humbrol 69 Yellow. Oh Yes!! I'm impressed, the undercoat was worthwhile. I'll do photos tomorrow, outside in daylight. I'm also preparing a pilot to sit in the front. This might slow down the canopy and rest of the painting. theplasticsurgeon
And here's the colour in daylight. I'm pleased with that - and have just completed the rest of the airframe. It's drying now, but photos later this afternoon.

theplasticsurgeon
Nice work ! I can't believe it's brush painted, it looks really smooth from your pics. The key is the undercoat - that matt white that I aerosolled on earlier.
