All:

First, I want to thank all of those who have stuck by me with your patience and kindness during my time in hell these past few months. I am more or less on my feet again andI have some good help mailing (I had some bad help before). Boxes are going out now in the order that they were bought. So bear with me a little longer and if you haven't got yours yet, it will be there soon.

If you just hang in there with me, everybody will get what's coming to them (that didn't sound quite right, did it?). I mean, if I don't get these things to you soon I'll get what's coming to me. Anyway, if you feel you're order has somehow fallen through the cracks, lord forbid, please send me a nasty email or PM and I will investigate. Meanwhile, check out all this new stuff!

Thanks to everyone,

MEL

DECALS

All decals $1.00 postage within US. Overseas orders enquire.

1/32 Scale

BarracudaCals 32006, P-40E Warhawks, Pt. 1 -- This fairly new company is making quite a splash with their beautiful graphics and dead-on draftsmanship, along with accuracy in both color and content. These three P-40s make for one colorful sheet. The set includes full-color application profiles and plan-views, plus a separate stencil map for the full complement of stencils included here. First is one of the "Aleutian Tigers", Yellow 49, from the 343rd Fighter Group. It has the familiar huge tiger's head, plus a yellow spinner and wide white fuselage and rudder stripes. The real oddity on this sheet is P-40E "White 85 of the 9th FS/49th FG, flown by George Preddy out of Darwin, Australia in 1942, before he went on to be one of the top scoring aces of the war in the European Theater. Preddy had not yet started the "Cripes A'Mighty" line (See 1/48th decals below) and this a/c is named "Tarheel," painted in white on one side, with a beautiful green, fire-spitting dragon on the other. Finally is Col. Robt. L. Scott's Warhawk, which, though now in the USAAC, still wore his Flying Tiger markings only with US insignia. He got his fifth kill over Hanoi with this machine. $5.95 plus $1 postage.

CAM Decals 32-137 P-47N 'Big and Deadly Jugs' -- This sheet bears the very colorful and famous markings of Lt. Oscar

Perdomo's "Lil' Meaty's Meat Chopper," whose nose art depicts a baby strutting along with a cigar in his mouth and a

Thompson sub-machine gun in his hand. Perdomo, of the 464 FS/507 FG, was the last ace of WW II. Wide yellow wing stripes

match the yellow tail with a blue diagonal stripe. The sheet has all stenciling, as well as the spinner stripe (rare on the Jug) and

national markings. This is a fine sheet around. $5.95

(I have more sheets for the P-47N in 1/32. If interested, just send me a PM.)

EagleCals EC#88-32, 1/32 Bf-109G-6, JG 300 Pt. 1 -- This sheet contains markings for four late-war Gustavs that have plenty

of color about them. "Red 6, " 2./JG300, is overpainted with dark gray overall and has a red and black spinner; "Red 8" has

a curious white rudder with gray squiggle pattern, the a/c is overall light blue with white wing tips, the remainder being in

natural metal (greens having been sanded down to the bare aluminum). Red tail band; "White 2 Black 18" is yellow under

the nose with very wide blue band around aft fuselage; "Yellow 13" is in heavily mottled scheme with wide red band. $5.95

TwoBobs 32-047/72-074, F-16C/D "Peace Puma Vipers" -- The sheets with this set provide full markings for single- and two-seat F-16s that were sold to Chile under the so-called Peace Puma program. The two sheets include the numbers on the wings and tail for all eight of the machines sold to Chile. Also included are national insignia and a good complement of secondary markings and stencils. Wing walks are also included. The color markings guide shows the aircraft in an unusual "blotchy" scheme of three light-to-medium grays. This is a great sheet if you are tired of the same old USAF Vipers. 6.95

1/48 Scale

Aeromaster 48-445 F-8E/J "Colorful Crusaders III" -- This set is definitely as advertised -- very colorful. Three aircraft can be marked from this two-sheet set. First is an F-8J from VF-194, "Satan's Kittens," flown by the CAG of AW 19 aboard the USS Hancock in 1975. The tail code letters are pierced by a large red lightning bolt. The second aircraft is F-8E BuNo 149203, VF-162 "Hunters," flown by the CAG of AW 16 aboard the USS Oriskany off Vietnam in 1966-67. The rudder is black with five colored stars representing each of the five squadrons in the wing. The a/c carries a similar nose sash. The third aircraft is an F-8J, BuNo 150898. CAG of AW 21 aboard the Hancock and assigned to VF-24. The radome has a unique black-and-red spiral painted on it, which is provided here. The rudder is in black with a series of red stars and a red-and-black checked fin tip. Oh, sure, it makes better tactical sense to have dead gray airplanes, but they should have consulted us modelers before they did away with ALL the color. $6.95

Afterburner Decals AD48-001, F-16C, 421st FS "OIF Black Widows", Iraq, Qatar and Hill AFB -- Comes with complete markings for c/o's aircraft in June 2002 and November 2004 plus line a/c at home base. Comes with distinctive web-and-spider fin flashes, all wing and squadron insignia, stencils and secondary markings for two complete aircraft. Also includes color placement profiles and full stencil map, plus loadout chart. $5.95

Afterburner Decals AD48-002, F-16CJ "Shaw Shooters" -- Set includes complete markings for three machines from the 55th Fighter Squadron from Shaw AFB, SC. This squadron is dedicated to the SEAD mission (formerly known as "Wild Weasel), or Suppression of Enemy Air Defenses. The markings include the unique blue-and-white fin stripe with the dice and double five insignia. Also included are all wing and other insignia for the sides of the intake. There is also a large, multi-decal painting on the top-right side of 91-0346 commemorating the end of the squadron's turn at Operation Southern Watch in the fall of 1999. Also included are markings for the commander's a/c , 93-0554 plus, with special tail markings, and a line bird, 91-0382. There are stencils, national insignia and secondary markings for two aircraft, and like all Afterburner sets, this one includes a loadout chart and a complete stencil map. $5.95

Afterburner Decals AD48-004, "F-16 Wing Kings #1" -- This sheet is for F-16 Wing Commanders for 20FW, Prince Sultan AB, 2003; 27 FW, Cannon AFB 2005; 56 FW, Luke AFB, 2005. Lots of color on all of these, with all squadron and wing insignia and tail stripes. All stencils, nat. insignia and other markings. Includes full stencil map, loadout chart and usual fine AB instructions. 5.95

Afterburner Decals AD48-015, F-16C Block 40/50 "Numbered Air Forces Pt. 1" -- Provides colorful markings and stencils for C/O's aircraft of 5th AF, 9th AF, 12th AF. Comes with multicolored fin flashes, national insignia, all secondary markings plus full color placement profiles and planviews as well as accurate stencil map and loadout chart. $6.95

Afterburner AD48-021 "Eagle Wing Kings #2" -- This set contains unusually colorful markings for two aircraft bearing the names of a pair of wing commanders. First is 85-0128, an F-15C designated as the mount of Col. Charles Shugg, commander of the 366th Fighter Wing based at Mountain Home AFB, Idado. The aircraft bears a white fin stripe bearing the name "Gunfighters." There are also color wing and other insignia plus a full complement of stencils, walks, national insignia and even manufacturers plates for the gear legs. There are two sets. The other aircraft is assigned to Brig. Gen. Larry New, Commander of the 325th Fighter Wing at Tyndall AFB, which is the home of four Eagle training squadrons under the wing. This is the more colorful of the two, bearing the wing insignia and full color insignia for all four squadrons. There is a wide black-and-yellow checked stripe across the top of each fin. Both aircraft are supplied with colorful markings for intake FOD covers should you decide to use them. $6.95

Afterburner AD48-029, F-15C/D "Mountain Home Wild Boars" -- This fine sheet provides markings for five one- and two-seat F-15C/Ds of the 390FS based at Mountain Home AFB, Idado. Know as the "Wild Boars," this nickname is written across the fin/rudder tips on a dark blue sash. The commander's a/c, 86-0157, has "Boar Lead" on his fin stripe. This set comes with full stenciling and secondary markings for at least two aircraft, plus tail numbers, squadron insignia, ACC insignia and tail stripes for five aircraft. Also included are decals denoting various antennas and nicely-done formation "slime lights" for two aircraft. Includes full stencil map, color placement profiles and full stores loadout diagram. $7.95

Hobby Decal AL48005A1, 1/48 and 1/72 RAF Phantom FGR.2./F-4M dry transfer stencils and other markings. If you are building a Brit Phantom, you can't do better than this vastly comprehensive sheet of dry transfer stenciling, as well as low-viz UK national insignia and all secondary markings such as wing walks in two colors. This set, with two sheets, has both 1/48 and 1/72 markings identically. We have found that nothing is better than dry transfers for stenciling an aircraft model. There is no backing film to show -- all you get is just the ink in an invisible matrix. In addition to the markings sheets, this set comes with a poster-size set of profiles of full-scale (1/48) RAF Phantoms from various squadrons. On the other side are full color stencil maps with four views of two aircraft with a separate set of color four-views for the panel numbers, which are included. Quite a deal at $8.95 plus $1 postage.

AeroMaster Decals 1/48 B-25D "Marauding Mitchells, Pt. IV" -- This sheet give you the colorful markings of two machines from the 500th Bomb Squadron/345 Bomb Group, with the famous snorting horse head on the vertical stabs and rudders. This sheet includes the famous "Tondelayo" (41-30669) with the sultry vixen painted on the forward fuselage, along with an impressive array of ground and sea kill and mission markings. The other craft, 41-30051, though nameless, features some sort of evil mouth full of sharp teeth that extends on both sides almost to the cheek guns, and also carries the horse head on the stabs. Sheets include all national insignia and other secondary markings. $5.95 plus $1 postage.

AVI Print 48018 Ki-45 Toryu "Nick" Part II. This is the perfect sheet for that new Hasegawa Ki-45 you just bought. It has markings for four machines, ranging from a heavily camouflaged machine from the 5th Sentai in the Philippines, to a captured aircraft in US markings with red, white and blue stripes on the rudder. Another aircraft, from the 8th Hakkou Tai, has a winged skull riding a bomb on the vertical stab and rudder, a very unusual marking for a Japanese aircraft. Also includes Hinomaru both with and without borders. Since AVI Print is Eduard's decal subsidiary, you can get a look at this sheet on their web site (www.eduard.cz). $4.95 plus $1 postage.

Eagle Strike 48220 "The Six," Convair F-106 Delta Dart, Part 5: Markings for two aircraft, 57-2485 of the Montana Air National Guard, and 59-0061, one of the fleet of F-106's used as chase planes late in the B-1B program. These aircraft are particularly colorful, with the fin covered in their blue and white B-1/F-106 profile logo with the stylized word "CHASE" in blue across the fin bottom. Sheet comes with full stenciling, national insignia, drop tanks flashes for both aircraft, including the arrows on the Montana ANG bird. $4.95

Sheet accompanied by a full-color book.

The 26-page, A4-size book is overflowing with profiles, four-views, color swatches to match the various

1/72 Decals

Hobby Decal AL72005A1, 1/72 and 1/48 RAF Phantom FGR.2./F-4M stencils and other markings. Same as 1/48 above. Quite a deal at $7.95 plus $1 postage.

ILIAD DECALS B-24D/PB4Y-1 "Sub-Hunting Liberators" -- Iliad is hands down the finest unknown decal maker in the world.

The company goes out of its way to find subjects that are not done elsewhere, or the just plain weird. In this case, these

aren't weird, they're just nice subjects with good nose art and/or paint schemes. There are six aircraft treated here, including

the Navy's "Galloping Ghost of the Brazilian Coast," whose nose art depicts a skeleton riding a bomb down while looking through

binoculars. Best of all, it goes on the fine blue/blue-gray/white paint scheme. On the slab-sided B-24 (PB4Y in this case) the

white extends over the entire a/c except the top. This scheme is also used on "Subduer," (BuNo 32052), also based in Brazil.

Three of the Army anti-sub Libs are in green/neutral gray, one of which is "Skeezix" (124002). There is one natural-metal

ASW B-24D here, 263800 with an attractive squadron insignia on the fins. $5.95

TwoBobs 72-074/32-047, F-16C/D "Peace Puma Vipers" -- The sheets with this set provide full markings for single- and two-seat F-16s that were sold to Chile under the so-called Peace Puma program. 6.95

TwoBobs 72-082, "Swedish Drakens," 1/72 J35F1/J35J Drakens -- You want some color for that new Hasegawa Draken kit?

Look no further. This sheet, with markings for no fewer than four machines, features one Draken colored completely in

blinding red with huge numeral "1"s on either wing in white. The accompanying machine is in green/blue camo with a red fin

and a large ghost in white, the squadron symbol. Another machine, representing 10 Squadron, is in overall yellow with two

big, black swordfish adorning each wing. There is an accompanying aircraft from the same squadron with a yellow nose and

fin stripe and a pair of yellow swordfish on the undersides of the wings. The sheet comes with all national insignia, secondary

markings and a full complement of stencils for two aircraft. $5.95
