Tom: Still have not received my Eduard Pfalz D-III Dual Combo. It should have been here already, even if it was sent parcel post. Hope it was insured. I'll give you my information again just in case there was an oversight.

JUST ADDED! Eduard 1/48 Limited Edition (No. 1110) P-400 Air A Cutie/Cutting Edge Package Deal -- I'm offering the sold-out Eduard Limited Edition version of their P-400 kit, which comes with a beautiful, full-color PE fret with choice of two instrument panels plus assorted grill-work and other exterior parts, and 113 great injected parts. And I'm including Eduard's outstanding PE aftermarket flap set (No. 48506, and if you've seen the flaps down on an Airacobra, you know they are HUGE). Best of all, I'm adding the complete Cutting Edge resin cockpit (CEC48269) made for this kit. Though it's a very full cockpit, including the rear walls, I would use Eduard's instrument panels and a few other things from the PE fret to round out the detailing. You will want to model this kit with both doors open. AND, as if that were not enough, we are also including Cutting Edge's full set of resin control surfaces for this kit (CEC48229), including ailerons, elevators and rudder, all of which can be cocked a little or a lot in order to breathe a some life into your model. Finally, though the kit contains a large set of masks which include the wing walks, they are the older vinyl type. We are throwing in an aftermarket set of Eduard's own Tamiya-type, pre-cut yellow-tape masks (EX200) for the windows, wheels and other spots. The whole set is only $24.95.

The bump I did last time is the bump I should have done today since...oh, never mind. It's bumped. Also, the conveyer belt, which stalled once more for a brief time, is moving again, so wait a couple of days before you start flaming me;).

KITS

(PAYPAL ONLY! Prices do not include postage. When requesting a kit, please include your zip. We don't charge any more than actual postage.)

NOTE: On the following item, I am willing to sell invidual parts of the total set, but not in tiny pieces. If you want a significant number of these AM sets, decals and dry trasfer sets, or the kit itself, let's deal. However, you would do better to buy the whole thing and sell off what you don't want on ARC.

NEW! Eduard 1/48 Bf 110G-2 Profipak -- Not much more that hasn't been said about this series, except this G is the queen of them all with five different versions. These are the most interesting sub-variants, including the underslung 37 mm-armed G-2/R1, the rocket and tub-mounted 20mm cannon on the 5./ZG 1 machine; naturally, there's a bomb armed Zerstorer with the Wespen (Wasp) markings of 5./ZG 1. Kit has 300 injected parts plus two PE frets (one in full color) and a few resin parts. Take it for less than half off. $28.95

NEW! Eduard 1/48 Weekend Edition F6F-5 -- Kit contains more than 125 injected parts plus decals. Kit has markings for Leo Bob McCuddin's a/c flying off the USS Enterprise in Oct. 1944. No matter how many versions they release, this kit just looks finer every time. $15.00

NEW! Eduard Weekend Edition Fokker E.V/D.VIII -- Eduard, without question, has the finest "Flying Razor" kit ever done. This one is in the wide yellow and black stripes of a machine from Marine Feld Jagdstaffel II, Belgium, 1918. $11.95

JUST ADDED! Hasegawa 1/48 P-38L Lightning "Geronimo" w/SAC metal landing gear set -- This is my favorite boxing of the fine Hasegawa P-38 series in 1/48 scale. This kit comes with markings for "Geronimo" on the box top, which is in OD over gray, or you can make two other schemes in NMF, including the popular "Putt-Putt *****" and the very colorful "Elsie" with the skull-and-tomahawk insignia on the engine nacelles. Huge decal sheet also includes all anti-glare panels for both center pod and engine nacelles, in black and OD, plus full round of stencils and national insignia. Kit comes with full bomb and rocket armament. In addition, we have replaced the kit gear with a set of Scale Aircraft Conversions' brand new metal gear for this kit and all other Hasegawa Lightnings ($15 retail value). $19.95

NOTE: On the following item, I am willing to sell invidual items from the total set, but not in tiny pieces. If you want a significant number of these AM sets, decals and dry trasfer sets, or the kit itself, let's deal. However, you would do better to buy the whole thing and sell off what you don't want on ARC.

Hasegawa 1/32 Fw 190A-5 (New Mold, Kit St23) with massive set of AM goodies -- We've been collecting aftermarket items for this thing for four years. It includes the Eduard Big Ed set with every photoetched fret made for this kit plus mask set, every Eagle Parts resin set made for the kit, which is to be configured (if you want) as an Fw 190A-5/U12 with inclusion of EagleParts' underwing 20MM package guns (included in the deal). This was the aircraft flown by Lt. Erich Hondt and is quite colorful for a 190 with its bright red stripes running the length of the a/c and all white tail section (three other machines are also on the sheet, including one with yellow/black checked nose).

Fw 190A-5 package includes EagleParts resin corrected prop, EagleParts wheels, SAC's corrected white metal landing gear, Eduard Fw 190A-5 BIG ED set, EagleCals set EC83-32, HobbyDecal dry transfer stencil set, resin EP corrected gun cowl, Cutting Edge corrected Wing Cannon Bulges, full EagleParts resin tail-wheel well and strut with separate wheel, FineMolds machine guns and pitot tube of turned brass, and, finally, from Schatton Modelblau, hand-turned brass MG.17 7.92 mm guns with hand-fashioned cooling jackets. These are indeed jewel-like and hard to come by. All in all, about $300 worth of stuff here, if you could still get it all. Take it all for $139.95. That's less than than the cost of the kit and PE alone.

JUST ADDED! AMT A-20G Havoc with Superscale Decals and Scale Aircraft Conversions metal landing gear -- This classic kit has been given an upgrade with the addition of a set the brand new Scale Aircraft Conversions metal gear for this aircraft, cleaned up and corrected to replace the kit gear (the 7-piece set is a $17 retail value). In addition, we are including Superscale sheet No. 48-495 with markings for either the rare natural metal Havoc, "Little Chief" from the 321 Bomb Squadron, with the rudder covered in black with a huge skull and crossed bombs, plus nose art that covers most of the forward fuselage. If you prefer something more subdued, there is another scheme showing the white horse of the 87th BS with white flashes on the cowl rings. All wing walks and national insignia included. $16.95

JUST ADDED! Airfix 1/48 Red Arrows Bae Hawk plus resin -- Beautiful injection kit of the famous Hawk in the markings of the Red Arrows demo team. In addition, kit comes with three CMK Resin sets: complete interior, including generous PE fret and two vac canopies; wheel wells, wheels and doors sets; plus exterior set with control surfaces and lots of extras. Also, Eduard mask set and, finally, Model Alliance's fantastic decal sheet with the two "dragon" aircraft, one a/c in all black with red dragon the length of the plane, the other with black dragon stretched over "Raspberry Ripple" Test Establishment paint scheme. $32.95 for everything

JUST ADDED! Czech Model 1/48 North American FJ-1 Fury -- This oustanding kit is no longer available, which is a shame since it was the only kit of this aircraft available in 1/48. The chubby little Fury was the first step in the evolution that led to the legendary F-86 Sabre jet. Czech Model has more than done justice to this subject, with finely scribed, nicely fitting (especially for a limited run kit) injected parts and a big bag full of the outstanding resin castings that make all these CM kits so very good and fun to build. The entire cockpit is resin, as is the nose gear well, and dozens of other details from the after bulkhead armor, to the gunsight to the fins on the tip tanks. Two vacuformed canopies are provided in case you have a slip of the knife on the first one. Comes with decals for two aircraft from the one line squadron that flew the FJ-1 operationally. After being in production for years, this kit is getting more scarce by the day. $19.95

Monogram 1/48 A-37 Dragonfly -- This kit was an instant classic when released. The beautiful cockpit detail can be clearly seen even if you choose to close the big, clear canopy that covers the side-by-side seating arrangement. Most people think the Dragonfly was merely a T-37 on steroids, but in fact it has a completely different fuselage cross section and many, many modifications. The eight wing hardpoints can carry any number of weapons and fuel tanks, many included in the kit. Also included is the muzzle assembly of the minigun and the optional refueling probe and its plumbing, as well as the positionable anti-sabotage/FOD grates for the intakes. The kit comes in both USAF and South Vietnamese AF markings. This kit's box is still sealed in original clear wrapping. $14.95

Trumpeter 1/48 F6F-2P Panther w/Eduard photoetched frets -- This is the recce version of the Panther, and it has been faithfully captured in fine detail by Trumpeter (we are especially glad to report that the Mad Riveter has shown remarkable restraint on this kit). The engraved panel lines are just right, and the cockpit detail is excellent. Made moreso by the complete Eduard set for this kit (ED49 378), which includes a full color fret and larger frets full of internal and external detail parts. Fine decal sheet on this kit, something Trumpeter is not normally known for. Also included is the Eduard Mask Set for this kit (EX214). $18.95

JUST ADDED! Accurate Miniatures 1/48 P-400 Airacobra "Cactus Air Force at Guadalcanal" -- A wonderful kit based on the Eduard Molds, given the AcMin treatment. You get the full instruction book that is one our favorite things about AcMin kits, and markings for two aircraft: the sharkmouthed "Fancy Nancy" in brown and green camo with light gray undersides, which was based at Henderson Field on Guadalcanal; or a Soviet Airacobra in light gray and green with full set of red and white stars, kill markings and a large, white "33" on the tail. The kit comes with a fine card-stock, full color painting and markings guide for both versions. More than 100 parts overall, including very thin clear parts in separate package to prevent scratching. Both doors can be posed open. Only $14.95.

Tamiya 1/100 Scale HS Buccaneer S.Mk.2 -- This kit is from the classic Tamiya series of 1/100 kits, and is still sealed in the original cellophane. These kits are as popular with collectors as with builders, and have plenty of detail for this scale. The Buccaneer is one of the best of the series, if not the best. Comes with full RAF markings and underwing armament. Only $3.95.

Special Hobby SH48033, 1/48 Aermacchi C.200 I. serie Seata "Bubble Canopy" -- This beautiful kit would be nice if it were just injection molded. But the fantastic array of resin parts, including the unique cowl with the 'bumps' for the cylinder heads, interior, and many other resin pieces. Includes two vacuformed canopies (and we all know why it needs two. Wish more kit makers would do that.) Also comes with four markings options, each with one of those beautiful Italian camo jobs. Only $19.95.

Special Hobby SH48066, 1/48 Fiat G.55 Centauro "Sottoserie O" -- Yet another beautiful kit from SH, this one of the sleek Italian WW II Centauro fighter. Kit comes in sturdy box containing plenty of detail and extremely fine, beautifully scribed panel lines and exterior detail. The detailed cockpit is built up as a tub variety using the great injected detail along with parts from the generous photoetched sprue. The instruments are all film and are nicely done all around. The cockpit is topped off with a finely molded resin gunsight with a film glass. The decals are very well done, providing markings for two Republican and one Fascist Italy scheme. For the latter, the tail cross with the emblem of the House of Savoy is especially well done as is the Fasces symbol under the cockpit on both sides. One of the markings options has hastily painted-out Luftwaffe markings with Republican markings over the old ones. Most interesting is a light green, brown and desert yellow patchwork scheme over a blue-gray underside with Republican markings. Only $19.95.

NEW! Eduard 1/48 P-39Q Weekend Edition Airacobra kit -- Comes with great decal sheet with markings for "Snooks 2". This is the first of Eduard's famous P-39 series to come from a recce unit, 71 TRS, 82 TRG, 1944. Can also be made into alternative Aerocobra types. $11.95

Signifer 1/48 resin Latecoere 298B floatplane with large maintenance trolly/beaching gear -- Signifer produces some of the finest, if not THE finest 1/48 resin kits to be found anywhere. This WW II French torpedo floatplane kit which, like Signifer's amazing 1/48 Sunderland, is no longer available, is a stunning example of the craft of this company. The intricately detailed cockpits are pulled off beautifully even on a one-piece fuselage, and a perfectly executed torpedo is also included. The twin-floats and their struts show how strongly this a/c was built. And, the beaching gear is a perfect display stand since it is a large wooden trolley that is as wide as the track of the floats and almost as long, resting on five wheels. In addition to more than 80 resin parts, this one has lengths of wire and other materials to help build this beauty. Two crystal clear vacuformed canopies are supplied so that the cockpits can be posed open or closed. A big decal sheet contains markings for at least three schemes: Free French, Vichy and Luftwaffe. Only $27.95 for this beauty, about 40 percent of the original price and worth much, much more.

NEW! Tamiya 1/48 "Flying Position" stand set and new undercarriage for Storch kit -- This aftermarket set, made for the anniversary Storch kit, contains an 8"x8" base, metal rod pylon, and complete replacement wire-and-injected main gear set in its spindly, extended, flying position, which gave the aircraft its name. The aircraft rests on a small, discreet brace which is attached to the pylon by two screws and allows the aircraft to be displayed in any number of flight attitudes. Will also work on aircraft fitted with skis. $9.95

Hasegawa 1/32 P-12E Classic USAAC kit. These kits were way ahead of their time, with finely detailed wing rib detail and a full cockpit. This kit is just as modern today as any other kit. New condition. $18.95 plus postage.

ACCESSORIES: RESIN, PHOTOETCHED, WHITE METAL, ETC.

SCALE AIRCRAFT CONVERSIONS METAL LANDING GEAR SETS (These sets are priced up to 50 percent off and are in original bubble packs, most brand new to the catalogue)

1/32 Scale

Scale Aircraft Conversions #32005 WM landing gear for Trumpeter 1/32 P-40B. The very nice set was made specifically to handle this big, heavy model. $8.95

Scale Aircraft Conversions #32006 WM landing gear for Hasegawa 1/32 Ki-84 "Frank." These have been fully cleaned up and corrected from the kit legs. A deal at $8.95

Scale Aircraft Conversions #32011 WM landing gear for Hasegawa 1/32 Ki-43 "Oscar." As always, these have been nicely cleaned up and corrected where necessary. Same great price at $8.95.

1/48 Scale

Hasegawa F/A-18A/B/C/D Hornet Landing Gear #48003 -- $9.95

Hasegawa Saab Draken Landing Gear #48013 -- $9.95

Hasegawa F-4 Phantom II Landing Gear #48017 -- $9.95 (This set is for all versions except British Phantoms)

Hobby Boss FJ-4/FJ-4B Fury #48018 -- $9.95

Hasegawa A-4 Skyhawk Series Landing Gear #48019 -- For some reason, Hasegawa took the cheesy shortcut of molding the nose gear and wheel together on this otherwise excellent series of kits. SAC has corrected this, providing a separate nose gear leg and fork assembly and wheel. Provision is made for early gear and the later, steerable Skyhawk nose gear. -- $9.95

Hasegawa F-104 Starfighter Landing Gear #48023 -- $9.95 (This set is for single-seat versions of the F-104. Two-seat versions will require SAC set #48-024.)

Monogram/Revell F-105D/F/G Landing Gear #48036 -- $9.95

All SAC gear are made using centrifugal casting and are the cleanest, most accurate aftermarket landing gear you can get.

AeroBonus 1/32 Resin/PE/vinyl 150 lb. Wheeled Halon Airfield Fire Extinguisher Kit -- This is a must-have item for any modern airfield scene. It is a flawless kit of the ubiquitous yellow rolling fire extinguishers you see around military aircraft everywhere. This is an incredibly detailed kit for such a seemingly simple devicie. Comes with a resin frame for the tank, wheels, PE fret with all metal cross braces and other details, plenty of vinyl hose with resin nozzle parts. Resin wheels. Comes with a decal sheet with markings for three different styles, including night glow tape and stenciling, plus red striping. This fine little company, which specializes in airfield equipment, was being distributed by Meteor when they went under. It's hard to find now, if you can find it at all. Set is complete in original sturdy box and bags. $9.95

Cooper Details CD 4850, 1/48 Sea Fury Mainwheels w/metal tailwheel for Trumpeter or other kits -- Corrected resin wheels with block-tread tires. Set includes tailwheel with separate strut and fork. Much improved over the kit parts. $2.95

Hasegawa 1/48 scale aftermarket Fw 190 gun barrel/pitot set -- This nicely turned-brass set provides all the guns you need for whatever version of the Fw 190 you are building, and is even good for a Bf 109 (it's listed as being for an A-8, but it has everything but 30mm in the set). Includes a pitot tube, two MG131 muzzles for the upper cowling, two 20 mm wing-mounted MG151 with mounting rings at the base and a pair of MG151 for the wing roots, with milled tubes for running through the wheel wells. Not only are these guns seamless and to exact scale, they provide the perfect replacement for kit guns because they don't break off when fools handle your models. Oh, and they are more accurate than any kit barrels. $6.95

EagleParts EP#50-32 Fw 190A Conversion set for A-9. This is a simple conversion to make your A-8 into an A-9. When the Fw 190A-8s were beginning to be replaced with the BMW 801TU engine with the 14 bladed cooling fan, the armored cowl ring was also replaced with one that went from a thickness of 8mm to 10mm of armor in the ring. This set is up to Eagle's well-known high standard of resin casting, with a delicate 14-blade cooling fan and a new, slightly thicker cowl ring for your Hasegawa Fw 190A-8. Be the first one on your block to have a genuine A-9. Comes with full instructions and background info. $5.99 plus $1.00 US postage

1/72

Bagheera Resin Products, Bf 109G/K cockpit -- This is without question the finest and most delicately detailed and cast cockpit in this scale we have ever seen anywhere. This small firm turns out masterpieces in the tiniest detail. In addition to the floor, rear bulkhead and shelf, you get the seat with a finely molded-in harness. The star of this are the side consoles, in which they actually were able to mold in no just a 3D trim wheel, but also a perfect throttle qaudrant while also getting in the fuselage formers and longerons. We can't recommend anything from this company high enough. Steal it from me for $7.95

Cooper Details Bf-109G-2 through G-14 Cockpit Set -- It's really tough to pick which is better, Bagheera's or Cooper's Gustav cockpits. Both are just amazing examples of the mould-maker's art. You don't expect much in the way of detail in this scale, but I dare anyone to find a 1/48 scale resin cockpit that these can't stand up to. The Cooper resin set has a few extra parts, such as separate trim wheels and control column, among other separate parts. Though Cooper recommends the FineMolds Gustavs for this set (they say it is the best in this scale), they point out that the resin cockpit is made to fit virtually any Bf 109G (and K) in this scale. $6.95

Obscureco Aircraft OBS72005 PBJ-1D "Hose Nose" Conversion -- This is a beautiful part for making a simple conversion for an Italeri (or Hasegawa) B-25 into a USMC PBJ-1D in the "hose nose" configuration. All you have to do is substitute the kit noses for the resin set provided by Oscurco. The window framing is there, but on the real thing it was usually painted over, as here. Atop the nose is the long radome from which the plane got its nickname. The casting if fine and accurate, like all Obscureco products. (Also comes in 1/48 for Accurate Minatures B-25C/D, but we don't have it.) $4.95

Obscureco Aircraft 1:72 Resin P-47D-27/28/30/40 Complete Filleted Tail Section for Tamiya Kit -- This is what you need to make a late-model Thunderbolt out of the Block 25 Bubbletop kit. Wonderful surface detail typical of this company and the only way to make the late T-Bolts in this scale.

Only $5.95 in sturdy corrogated box.

BarracudaCals 32001, P-47D Thunderbolts Part 2, Bubbletops -- This extremely colorful set includes markings for two P-47D-27 bubbletop Thunderbolts from the 512FS/406FG near the end of WW II -- Nos. 226860 and 226922. Each has the distinctive yellow nose and trailing yellow flash, plus red/blue/yellow striped fin and rudder. Both "Angie" and "Little Ann" are adorned with sexy nose art that is beautifully rendered. We are completely sold on this company because the drafting is near perfect and the colors are vivid and true. On these aircraft, they have even provided the elaborate and very thin black cheat lines plus two-part, two-color script for the nose art. $6.95

BarracudaCals 32002, P-47D Thunderbolts Part 1, Razorbacks -- This is yet another fine sheet from this upstart company. It has markings for two razorbacks from the 4th Fighter Group and the 78th FG. From the 334 FS/4 FG is "Wela Kehoe" based at Debden, England in Jan. 1944. The aircraft has a large and colorful bit of nose art showing a rampaging, spear-wielding Polynesian. Comes with all markings, and national insignia with a yellow surround, unusual for the time. The second machine is "Eileen" from 84 FS/78 FG, with even larger nose art of a gun-and-sword-toting wasp, with the name "Eileen" in three-color script. This aircraft has a black and white-checked cowl. The checks are included in the set, and are in four parts to make application simple. Aircraft also carries partial invasion stripes. $6.95

BarracudaCals 32005, 1/32 "P-40s of 112 Squadron RAF, Part 1" -- This beautiful sheet provides markings for one British Kittyhawk Mk. I and a pair of Tomahawk Mk. IIs in desert camouflage. Each is adorned with a sharkmouth with eyes and a red spinner. The first machine, a Mk. IIb, No. AK402, was the mount of the legendary Neville Duke based in Libya in Nov. 1941. Kittyhawk Mk. 1, AK578, also was Duke's personal a/c, this time in Feb. 1942, still in North Africa. Finally, a/c AK772, flown by P.O. Burney and Squadron Leader Clive Caldwell, is depicted, like the others, in Middlestone, Dark Earth, and, unlike the others, which have Azure bellies, this one has very dark blue undersides. The set comprises two sheets, with all national markings and fin flashes, and is up to BarracudaCals indisputedly high standards. $6.95

CAM Decals 32-137 P-47N 'Big and Deadly Jugs' -- This sheet bears the very colorful and famous markings of Lt. Oscar

Perdomo's "Lil' Meaty's Meat Chopper," whose nose art depicts a baby strutting along with a cigar in his mouth and a

Thompson sub-machine gun in his hand. Perdomo, of the 464 FS/507 FG, was the last ace of WW II. Wide yellow wing stripes

match the yellow tail with a blue diagonal stripe. The sheet has all stenciling, as well as the spinner stripe (rare on the Jug) and

national markings. This is a fine sheet around. $5.95

(I have more sheets for the P-47N in 1/32. If interested, just send me a PM.)

CAM Pro Decals P32-001 (these are the newer, more accurate decals done by the new owners of CAM) Vought A-7E Corsair II, VA-93 -- This fine set shows 160544 in all its colorful glory. The rudder has blue and white stripes, while the tail shows two streaking "jets" curving down from the code letters in blue and red. Up at the nose end you get a fine royal blue color with a gaping shark mouth and eyes. Comes with all wing walks and seondary markings. $6.95

CAM Pro Decals P32-002, A-7E, VA-72 'Blue Hawks' Operation Desert Storm -- Actually, this brown-and-sand painted CAG bird (BuNo 160552) is shown as it appeared immediately after that war, with the words "DESERT" and "STORM" covering either wing. It's also printed on the drop tanks. Otherwise, this unique marking set includes gray wing walks, black mission marks (camels), and all national and secondary markings. The paint scheme is a wrap-around lizard job made for flying low over the desert. $6.95

CAM Pro Decals P32-010, F/A-18C VFA-146 Blue Diamonds (2002) -- This extremely colorful sheet provides virtually all you need to transform your 1/32 Hornet into the beautiful machines flown by VFA-146. From the blue-and-gold flashes on the fins, the the blue-and-gold "NAVY" on the aft fuselage, all the way to the blue flames blowing back from the nose, this is one eye-catching scheme. The set includes all the color markings, as well as full black wing walks, national insignia and secondary markings, accurate formation lights, "BLUE DIAMONDS" markings for the drop tanks, complete with the fin flash repeated, and the CAG's name under the canopy. If you like your aircraft bright, this one's for you. $6.95

EagleCals EC#91-32, 1/32 Fw 190F-8 -- This set includes two full-size sheets with markings for three ground attack F-8s and one F-9. Includes all markings, national insignia and squadron badges, spinner spirals, complete stencils and secondary markings. The oddball of the batch is "Black 3," which is finished -- or not finished -- in natural metal with a few blotches of Gray Violet on the tail fin. Engine cowl has a patch of gray-green and the rudder and elevators are painted in red oxide paint. This machine was used by Pilot Eugen Lorcher to escape the Russians with his wife on board. Also included are "Chevron Yellow 5" of Luftflotte 4, with yellow rudder and wide yellow cowl stripe and wingtips; "Chevron Triangle Green 1" of III./SG 10, April 1945 with yellow aft fuselage band, wingtips, and under-cowling; and "Green Double Chevron" of Luftflotte 4. The latter is a rare Fw 190F-9, for which we have the resin conversion with beefier armored cowl ring and 14-blade cooling fan (See above accessories for the two drop-in resin parts that modify the F-8 to a F-9.)$6.95

TwoBobs 32-056, EF-2000 Typhoon "Perfect Storm Tiffies" -- This sheet provides markings for three Eurofighter Typhoons in what are quite colorful markings considering how drab these a/c usually are. Three squadron's are represented, including one Wing Commander's mount for No. 11 Sq. and line jets from Nos. 17 and 29 Squadrons. Each of these have the uniquely British patterned and colorful bar that runs along the fuselage usually with the national insignia in the middle. This has been in use at least since the late 1920s. Also, each of these birds has an elaborate, large and colorful shield-shaped insignia on the vertical fin, representing the squadron insignia itself. There is a full complement of stencils and secondary markings, as well as national insignia and matching fin flashes. Anyone building the Trumpeter Typhoon in this scale would do well with this set instead of the kit decals. $5.95

TwoBobs 32-057, EF-2000 Typhoon, "Tifoni Italiani" -- Not surprisingly, this sheet provides markings for Italian Eurofighters, in this case two machines, one from IX Gruppo, 4 Stormo and the other from 12 Gruppo, 36 Stormo. These markings include large squadron insignia for the fin, fuselage codes, color national insignia, a full set of Italian stencils and nose art for one of the birds in the form of a stylized Italian flag with a figure in the middle of it. If you're looking for something quite different for your Trumpeter Typhoon (or any other in 1/32 that comes along), this would be a great choice. $5.95

Yellow-Wings Decals 32-004, USN F4F-3 Wildcats -- Yellow Wings Decals has single-handedly revived interest in this most colorful period is USN history with its immaculately researched and perfectly printed decals sheets. This set is no different. It provides all the markings you will need to make the multi-colored squadron commanders' aircraft from either VF-41 "Red Rippers" off the USDS Ranger or VF-72 operating from the USS Wasp. They are in their pre-war livery, in all their glory -- yellow wings, red chevrons (or yellow, if you choose to do the sixth section aircraft, for which markings for both squadrons are included). The sheets include, in addition to all codes and national insignia, the famous Red Rippers squadron insignia, red and yellow fuselage bands and wing chevrons, plus the great instruction sheets that come with all Y-W decals, explaining the color codes used during the between-the-wars period. (It's quite simple once you learn it.) One fine addition on this sheet are the three-color wingtip markings, which most modelers know are a pain in the butt to get right. This sheet is only $7.95

Yellow-Wings Decals 32-011, 1/32 F2A-2 Brewster Buffalo, VF-2 and VF-3 -- If you have the any of the MPM versions of the big Buffalo kit, by Azur, Special Hobby or whomever, you will want this set. Y-W has done it's usual impeccable job of research turned into a strikingly beautiful set of decals sheets which include everything you need to make aircraft from either of the two squadrons that put to sea with the relatively harmless Buffalo aboard. For a more colorful aircraft, the VF-2 machine is in the Yellow-Wings scheme as it appeared aboard the USS Lexington before the war. The tail section is all lemon yellow (which contrasts with the orange-yellow of the wings) which was the ship's designated color for its aircraft. In addition to the fuselage codes, you get a set of green wing chevrons, green belly band of a section leader, all national insignia, the three-tone prop tips, which are a bear to paint, all secondary markings (even including the tiny white brand name "GENERAL 27" for placement on the tires. The large Buffalo wing walks, in black and gray together, are also included. If you choose to do the aircraft of VF-3 on its 1941 cruise aboard the USS Saratoga, you'll be painting the a/c in flat light gray overall with large red-white-and-blue roundels in six places. You can also make a training aircraft from 1942 painted light gray with red-and-white stripes (which are provided) covering the rudder. These have huge national insignia on the upper and lower wings (provided). All in all, this is one fine set of markings. $6.95

1/48 Scale

Afterburner Decals AD48-002, F-16CJ "Shaw Shooters" -- Set includes complete markings for three machines from the 55th Fighter Squadron from Shaw AFB, SC. This squadron is dedicated to the SEAD mission (formerly known as "Wild Weasel), or Suppression of Enemy Air Defenses. The markings include the unique blue-and-white fin stripe with the dice and double five insignia. Also included are all wing and other insignia for the sides of the intake. There is also a large, multi-decal painting on the top-right side of 91-0346 commemorating the end of the squadron's turn at Operation Southern Watch in the fall of 1999. Also included are markings for the commander's a/c , 93-0554 plus, with special tail markings, and a line bird, 91-0382. There are stencils, national insignia and secondary markings for two aircraft, and like all Afterburner sets, this one includes a loadout chart and a complete stencil map. $5.95

AVI Print 48018 Ki-45 Toryu "Nick" Part II. This is the perfect sheet for that new Hasegawa Ki-45 you just bought. It has markings for four machines, ranging from a heavily camouflaged machine from the 5th Sentai in the Philippines, to a captured aircraft in US markings with red, white and blue stripes on the rudder. Another aircraft, from the 8th Hakkou Tai, has a winged skull riding a bomb on the vertical stab and rudder, a very unusual marking for a Japanese aircraft. Also includes Hinomaru both with and without borders. Since AVI Print is Eduard's decal subsidiary, you can get a look at this sheet on their web site (www.eduard.cz). $4.95 plus $1 postage.

CROSS DELTA 48001A1, 1/48 F-4J Phantom II, VX-4 Vandy 1 "Black Bunny" Hybrid Set -- This one is the most dazzling sets of markings we have in 1/48. It includes two whole sheets of dry transfers for the famous glossy Black Bunny aircraft, including hundreds of stencils and panel numbers, the Playboy Bunny on the tail and the word NAVY for the fuselage in white. For other decals, such as the wing walks and blue and gold flashes, you get water-slide decals in perfect color and register. For intake warnings and national insignia, you get to take your choice of water slide or dry transfer. We expect you will take the latter when you see how much thinner pure pigment is compared to something with backing film, no matter how thin -- it's still backing film. As with all these wonderful Cross Delta sets, this one comes with a poster size, poster-paper set of placement profiles and four-views, while on the back are complete, full-size stencil and panel-number maps in all four views. If you want the best possible finish on your 1/48 F-4, this one gets our highest recommendation. $9.95

Eagle Strike 48220 "The Six," Convair F-106 Delta Dart, Part 5: Markings for two aircraft, 57-2485 of the Montana Air National Guard, and 59-0061, one of the fleet of F-106's used as chase planes late in the B-1B program. These aircraft are particularly colorful, with the fin covered in their blue and white B-1/F-106 profile logo with the stylized word "CHASE" in blue across the fin bottom. Sheet comes with full stenciling, national insignia, drop tanks flashes for both aircraft, including the arrows on the Montana ANG bird. $4.95

EagleCals No. EC100-48 P-51s of Maj. George Preddy, all named "Cripes A' Mighty."

Sheet accompanied by a full-color book.

The 26-page, A4-size book is overflowing with profiles, four-views, color swatches to match the various

blues of the 328th Fighter Squadron. In addition to markings for the five Mustangs (B, C and D models)

that bore the name, markings are included for another colorful a/c from this squadron, Capt. John

Bennett's P-51B with its huge, menacing shark mouth over the blue section. The book includes a combat

history for Preddy, who had almost 27 kills upon his death in France. This item is being hoarded by collectors,

though as far as we know it's still available from Eagle Ltd. $14.95 (Retail $29.95)

HobbyDecal 48003A1, 1/48 F-4J Phantom II "VF-84 'Jolly Rogers' Late 1971" -- This is one dazzling hybrid set by HobbyDecal, the primary maker of aviation dry transfers. This set includes no fewer than six sheets of dry transfers, from panel numbers all the way up to the big skull and crossbones on the fin to the stencils on the weapons pylons. Nothing is left out. You are given an option to use either water slide decals or dry transfers for the national insignia, intake warnings, and the large black word "NAVY" on the fuselage sides (though, personally, I don't know why anyone would use water slide decals when a dry transfer is available). The trademark diagonal yellow-and-black fuselage sash is provided as a water-slide decal as are the yellow nameplates on the canopy frames. The dry-transfer modexes 200 and 201 are provided with BuNos 155868 and 157298 respectively. The gray wing walk and long fuselage spine walks are dark gray water slide decals with a nice "rough" finish. And, as with all these fantastic sets, you get a poster size (printed on poster paper) set of 1/48 scale profiles on one side for use as placement maps, and on the other side are a couple of 1/72 color four-views for placement of stencils and secondary markings. $9.95

Mike Grant/Northern Wings 1/48 and 1/72 A-20/Boston III Night Intruders of 418 Squadron, RCAF-- This rare sheet was commissioned for a Canadian model contest so it was extremely short-run. However, it was done by Mike Grant, who has never produced a decal set that was less than excellent. This sheet, with full-color instructions, provides markings for three A-20/Boston III's. Two of the aircraft, W8395 and W8317, are in overall black schemes with red serials and codes, as well as red mission symbols. A third Boston, W8356, is done in the green and brown "sand and spinach" scheme with Sky Gray undersides in place of the standard Sky. This was the standard day bomber scheme at the time, even though these aircraft were all night intruders. It, too, carries red codes and serial number. $3.95

Superscale 48-772, 1/48 North American F-86D-40-NA (Early version), 469 FS/359 FG. Sheet comprises red lighning bolt flash

down middle of fuselage, both sides, with large squadron insignia at mid-point, red lightning bolts on vertical fin and drop

tanks, two-piece decal for anti-glare panel, buzz numbers, full nat. insignia and white radome stripes, other secondary

markings. $4.95

Superscale 48-872, USN A-4C Skyhawks VA-66 "Waldomen" and VA-76 "Spirits" -- This sheet harks back to the days when the Navy knew no boundaries on color when it came to their aircraft. VA-66's 149-493 features a big lightning bolt across the mid-fuselage with an angry-looking chicken in the middle. The same blue bolt is on the tanks, and the rudder and fin tip are in blue with white stars. The VA-76 machine, 147749, has a long blue flash along the fuselage, and another on the vertical tail. A blue flash adorns the tanks. Comes with national insignia, stencils and all secondary markings for the A-4, as well as decals for the black anti-glare panels on both aircraft. $4.95

TwoBobs 48-099, F-117A "Kosovo Bandits plus Skunk Works jet" -- The wildly successful set has finally been re-released, and it's still a beauty. In addition to all the squadrons from the 7th Fighter Wing (the only Nighthawk wing), there is also a wing commander's aircraft represented. But the star of this set is the huge Skunkworks logo, which covers most of the underside of the a/c, and which was only on the plane for two days to commemorate the retirement of Skunk Works chief Ben Rich. The set also includes all squadron and wing insignia, colored fin stripes w/the three squadron nicknames, national insignia and stencils. The Skunk Works machine has the proper "ED" tail coding and proper secondary markings and stencils in gray. $5.95

TwoBobs 48-162, "Rockin' Rhinos 8," F/A-18E, VFA-127, includes CAG's colorful machine in orange, silver and gold markings,

"City of Lemoore," and one line aircraft with similar markings in grays. Includes all stencils, national insignia, formation "slime"

lights, black wing walks on LEX, tailhook stripes, etc. $5.95

TwoBobs 48-164, F/A-18B VA-125 "Rough Raiders" -- These two aggressor birds, attached to VA-125, are done up in, first, full wrap-around tan-and-brown desert camouflage with the squadron insignia -- a nasty-looking viking -- portrayed on the fin in light tan, as are the other major markings. Also included are black wing walks for both a/c. The second machine is also in wrap-around, but it's in the Su-27 blue-gray-gray scheme with the same VA-125 markings, this time in darker blue. Also includes are all secondary markings as well as two sets of formation "slime" lights. Now you know what to do with that Hobby Boss F/A-18B. $6.95

TwoBobs 48-168, F-15C "Gunfightin' Boars," 390th Fighter Squadron, 366th Wing. Markings for two commanders' aircraft (in 2008),

plus eight line jets from the 390th FS. Fin stripes for "Boar Lead," "Wild Boars," and "Gunfighters." Pleantry of stencils,

wing and squadron badges, national insignia, slime lights and assorted personal artwork for several a/c. $5.95

TwoBobs 48-169, F-15E "T-Bolts Rule!", Strike Eagles of 389 FS, Mountain Home AFB, plus 12th AF commander's a/c

with fin stripe for three-star general and all associated badges and other appropriate markings. Also includes markings

for squadron commander's bird and several line aircraft from 2007 and 2008. Formation lights, national insignia, wing

walks and full stencilling for two aircraft. $5.95

TwoBobs 48-196, F/A-18E "Fighting Fourteenth" -- When we saw the lead aircraft on this sheet all we could say was "Wow!" The famous "Tophatters" of VFA-14, one of the oldest squadrons in the Navy under various numbers, have celebrated the 90th anniversay of Naval aviation with a CAG bird (BuNo 166434) that is nothing short of utterly dazzling. Provided with this set is a huge tophate in a red circle, which is applied to black fins inside and out. On the inside of the fins are the dice-with-a-star markings. The color extends along the spine, in black with red trim trailing from the cockpit area, which is surrounded in black. All the national insignia and secondary markings are in color. In fact, next to this aircraft, it's almost pointless to tell you that there is also a choice of a line aircraft (BuNo 166436) from the same squadron, this one with all gray markings including the fin flash. All wing walks are included as well. $5.95

1/72 Decals

ILIAD DESIGN DECALS 72001, B-24D/PB4Y-1 "Sub-Hunting Liberators" -- Iliad is hands down the finest unknown decal maker in the world.

The company goes out of its way to find subjects that are not done elsewhere, or the just plain weird. In this case, these

aren't weird, they're just nice subjects with good nose art and/or paint schemes. There are six aircraft treated here, including

the Navy's "Galloping Ghost of the Brazilian Coast," whose nose art depicts a skeleton riding a bomb down while looking through

binoculars. Best of all, it goes on the fine blue/blue-gray/white paint scheme. On the slab-sided B-24 (PB4Y in this case) the

white extends over the entire a/c except the top. This scheme is also used on "Subduer," (BuNo 32052), also based in Brazil.

Three of the Army anti-sub Libs are in green/neutral gray, one of which is "Skeezix" (124002). There is one natural-metal

ASW B-24D here, 263800 with an attractive squadron insignia on the fins. $5.95

Iliad Design Decals 72002, "Oddball Spitfires" -- Once again Iliad goes for the cool subjects all the other companies overlook. In this case, it's five Spitfires in schemes you just don't see every day. First is a Mk. I flown by ace 'Ginger' Lacy with standard camo except that the entire cowling from the leading edge forward is in wide, horizontal red, white and blue stripes. Another machine is a Spit Vb in all black with sky codes and fuselage band. Yet another, a desert Vc, has the British roundels overpainted with Yugoslavian national insignia. Finally, there is an American Spit with the early war OD over Neutral gray with medium green blotches on all the edges. Set comes with complete markings and national insignia for all five aircraft. Overall, a unique set of decals. $5.95

Kits at War colorful Lancasters and RAF Lockheed Lightning -- This set provides markings for seven different Lancaster Mk. I/III, all with colorful nose art and mission marks. Also included are markings for "Aries," a Lancastrian type from the Empire Air Navigation School in natural metal finish; also a Lanc Mk. VI, ND673 of PFF Squadron Downham Market used in the Pathfinder role, rare for a Lanc. Finally, markings are included for an RAF Lockheed P-38J used for bomber formating. Comes with all variations of national insignia for RAF and RAAF for these machines plus secondary markings.$4.95

Mike Grant/Northern Wings 1/72 (and 1/48) A-20/Boston III Night Intruders of 418 Squadron, RCAF-- This rare sheet was commissioned for a Canadian model contest so it was extremely short-run. However, it was done by Mike Grant, who has never produced a decal set that was less than excellent. This sheet. with full-color instructions, provides markings for three A-20/Boston III's. $3.95

TwoBobs 72-062, F-15E "Too Cool for School Mudhens" -- This sheet provides markings for two Strike Eagles from the 17 WPS, based at the USAF Fighter Weapons School. Both have the familiar yellow-and-black checked stripe across the fin tip, plus FWS insignia and other color devices on the fuselage side. Includes two sets of full stenciling, wing walks, refueling point outlines as well as national insignia and formation lights. $5.95

TwoBobs 72-063, F-15C "Too Cool for School Eagles" -- This sheet provides markings for two F-15C Eagles from the 57th FW/433 WPS, based at the USAF Fighter Weapons School at Nellis AFB in Nevada. Included are markings for the squadron commander's machine (83-0041) as well as full markings for a line bird (80-0002). This sheet provides markings for three Block 52 aircraft and includes all squadron and wing markings. Aircraft 91-0362 is the squadron commander's aircraft and under the tail code are the words "WEAPONS SCHOOL." Two of these aircraft have the CCIP upgrade with the "bird slicer" IFF antenna ahead of the canopy. Also included is 90-0729, the wing c/o's aircraft, which has the wing designation in large characters instead of the serial and base code. All three come with stencils, secondary markings and colorful unit markings. Will fit any kit. $5.95

TwoBobs 72-083, F/A-18E "Fighting Fourteenth" -- When we saw the lead aircraft on this sheet all we could say was "Wow!" The famous "Tophatters" of VFA-14, one of the oldest squadrons in the Navy under various numbers, have celebrated the 90th anniversay of Naval aviation with a CAG bird (BuNo 166434) that is nothing short of utterly dazzling. Provided with this set is a huge tophate in a red circle, which is applied to black fins inside and out. On the inside of the fins are the dice-with-a-star markings. In fact, next to this aircraft, it's almost pointless to tell you that there is also a choice of a line aircraft (BuNo 166436) from the same squadron, this one with all gray markings including the fin flash. All wing walks are included as well. $5.95

Yellow-Wings Decals 72-032, F4F-3 VMF-211 "Wake Island Wildcats" -- Sheet comes with enough markings to make all 12

aircraft from this famous squadron. Besides fuselage codes, you get all national insiginia for 12 a/c, stencils, red-yellow-blue
