Nev
Some nice hi-res pics here (be sure to go to the next page as well). To save, you need to click on the thumbnail, then rightclick, properties, highlight address, copy into new tab, refresh and you should then have a jpeg you can save.... http://blogs.yahoo.co.jp/ktbmwm3/GALLERY/g...l?fid=0&p=
Tomcat Trebor
There does seem to be a F-14 Tomcat theme running through this. There is a F-15 with VF-154 tails markings here and VF-101 sharkmouth and the F-2A with 'Grim Reaper' markings. No doubt Hasegawa are on the case. Robert
JackMan
Groan......now I have to sell BOTH my kidneys when Hase comes up with decals for these. And they BETTER....in 1/72 of course Gentlemen, start selling your kidneys: http://www.hlj.com/product/HSG00977 http://www.hlj.com/product/HSG00980 Good thing the F-2 is a 2-in-1 kit
ChernayaAkula
^ Thanks for the heads-up! What are the two options? Flaming nose and Grim Reapers tail?
Nev
Aye Carumba! £19 for a 1/72 Eagle! The F-15s on show this year were a bit meh, so I'll probly give that a miss. Two gorgeous F-2s for £22 on the other hand.........assuming they even make it to Britain.....
speedlimit
^ Thanks for the heads-up! What are the two options? Flaming nose and Grim Reapers tail? I hope they have it on 48th scale as well. :( Eric
JackMan
^ Thanks for the heads-up! :( What are the two options? Flaming nose and Grim Reapers tail? Don't know yet. Can't find any boxtop shots anywhere. The kits are not even listed on DragonmodelsUSA website, which usually has the pics of upcoming Hase kits before anyone else. Can't even find them on Hasegawa's website. I hope it IS the Flaming nose and Grim Reapers tail. It'd be good if it was the yellow Grim Reapers tail rather than the white one. Firstly because the yellow is a nice contrast to the F-2's blue tail. Secondly the white Grim Reaper is too common with the ones from F-14 Tomcats. There doesn't seem to be any F-4EJ Senkyo releases though I thought I saw at least one pic somewhere of a Senkyo 2009 F-4EJ bird. But IIRC, it was pretty plain (just some design on the intake splitter, I think. Can't recall)
JackMan
Still on Senkyo & Special Annv. theme (albeit 6 years too late :P ), Fujimi seems to want to jump on the Special Schemes bandwagon too: http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10094786 http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10094784 (such long wordings just to say Senkyo 2003 ) HLJ has them listed too: http://www.hlj.com/product/FUJ72218 http://www.hlj.com/product/FUJ72219 The Senkyo '03 bird is the same one released by Hasegawa back in 2003 (hence my jibe about Fujimi being 6 years too late :) : http://www.hlj.com/product/HSG00645 However, I doubt if Fujimi's decals are as extensive as Hase's. It's also doubtful if they'd include the "greyed-out" data stencils that Hase includes. Those blue camoed 8Sqn F-4EJ Kais carried grey data stencils that stood out against the F-2-type blue camo: http://www.hyperscale.com/2009/reviews/dec...1reviewkb_1.htm http://www.aircraftresourcecenter.com/Fea1..._F-4_Lee/13.jpg http://www.aircraftresourcecenter.com/Fea1..._F-4_Lee/06.jpg Also, I don't think Fujimi's F-4EJ is a Kai ( Kais have fin-top & wingtip antennas as well as strips on the radar nose-cone---similar to F-16 ) I think I'll take a "wait & see" approach for Fujimi's releases. But for those of you who missed Hasegawa's release of the above 2 Phantoms, you may want to grab 'em now.
ChernayaAkula
And another thanks for the heads-up! May have to look at those Fujimi Phantoms. The RF-4 has a pretty cool scheme. And it's about time a 1/72 F-2-camo'ed F-4EJ is available again. One of the coolest F-4 schemes around and you can't get any decals for 'em.

I know there's a lot of modelers out there who, like us, appreciate JASDF Special Schemes; so it's only right that whoever spots a new scheme coming out should give a shout out to others :) I agree with the 1/72 F-2-camo'ed F-4EJ decals. Dunno why Platz just doesn't re-release that particular sheet :D http://www.hlj.com/product/PLZJD-18 They did so with some of their earlier F-15J decals so I can't understand their business acumen in not re-releasing the F-2-camo'ed F-4EJ decals. If the Fujimi ones don't include the greyed-out data stencils, you could always use the ones from one of the Hasegawa Aggressor Phantoms or their Spec. Ann kits: http://www.hlj.com/product/HSG00752 http://www.hlj.com/product/HSG00759 http://www.hlj.com/product/HSG00693 All 3 kits include those grey decals. But the "MiG Silhouette" kit will probably be the easiest of the 3 to get off E-Bay. :)
