madmike
Made a start on this little MBT from the Trumpeter range at the club workshop the weekend before last. Apart from a little flash the kit is going together very well indeed. However, I was initially stumped to what shade of green is to be used as instructions call for overall German Field Grey which seems a bit light to me. Finally after much deliberation, pondering, gnashing of teeth and several wails, I was helped by some Swedish modellers on Armorama. The green is actually JA green or to be honest Russian green, though others suggested olive green. So I will use a shade between. So here is a pic as of last week. Primer is currently on and the front storage boxes, seen in the pic placed on but the wrong way around are now attached and the right way around! Cheers Mike
ChernayaAkula
Nice work so far! Built the C-version for our Unofficial Armour GB and enjoyed it tremendously. Only gripes I had were the side skirts (which are the wrong way round) and the much too long track! So look out for that! :) Especially since you build a B and can't hide it behind the side skirts. ChernayaAkula
1/72! I was quite amazed to count some 150 or so pieces to go on a tank that small. .
madmike
Will do, thanks for the heads up. I am going probably sew the ends together like my Sturer Emil build. MikeJ Edited April 25, 2009 by madmike
