AX 365
Complete! While far from perfect, the results are acceptable. And a few photos of the real thing...the Vintage Wings of Canada Sabre 5 / 6. This airframe was an original Golden Hawk aircraft. And finally, in her element in all her glory... Thanks for letting me play. And to all the other participants of this build, well done boys! Mike
Andrew Doppel
Superbly finished brother! Looks a treat. A question though if I may? The flying shot from above shows a NMF leading edge on the main wings. Was this for that scheme or should it also apply to your scheme? Looks the goods though regardless. AX 365
Thanks for the encouragement 'Drew. The silver, or natural metal, on the slats and leading edge varied from year to year. The current screen saver I have shows a flight of Sabre Mark 5's with the wing fence and no silver on the wings. I've seen others painted and configured like the real Sabre in the thread. I went with the easiest thing...no silver or polished aluminum or whatever. I could have masked and gone with the polished aluminum but I figured, why bother. One less thing to mask and paint. Be safe, brother. Mike
