Guilherme Kosciuv
Hi guys, i´m starting another project, a Boeing 707-4 in Varig colors with conway engines, converted from the minicraft 707-320B "braniff". Decals from Eletric products. Starting by add the ballast and gluing the fuselage and wings. Cutting off the parts from the tree: the decal:
David Hingtgen
Thanks for the pic of the wings. Never gotten a good pic of that particular one. (Minicraft has multiple boxings that are screwed up---that kit actually seems to have -420 wings instead of -320B wings-----good thing you're making a -420!) (though they're kind of a hybrid, like most Minicraft 707 parts) Does that boxing have a ventral fin? I can think of a few things to sand if you want the wings to be closer to actual -420 wings. Guilherme Kosciuv
Thanks for the pic of the wings. Never gotten a good pic of that particular one. Yeah, the kit has the -420 wings, and the ventral fin as option. In addiction, the engines that came in this boxing are Conway, besides the box art show another engine. So, it´s exatly what i need for my Varig 707-420.
David Hingtgen
Wow, that may be the most "wrong" of all the Minicraft 707 kits! It's completely different from what the box says it is! But like you said--it's just what you need for a -420.
Guilherme Kosciuv
This week I was finishing this 737 below, so i can´t work on the 707, but until the weekend i´ll post some news.
Thrushcom
Like the 737 with the attractive Varig scheme. Looking forward to 707 progress. Chris
DC10Oiller
The 737 came out great. No doubt so will the 707. There's something cool about the way classic airliners looked in those older paint schemes. Too many of today's look the same. Great work.
Guilherme Kosciuv
I give up... I´m frustrated that i couldn´t finish in time... Stopped at the paint job: But at least i finished the Erj-145....
