ChernayaAkula
Guess what...17.00 PM sharp: sunny spell's all over the place...!!! <...> Same here, mate! Same here. Wanted to BBQ with a couple of friends, but it was raining all afternoon. But at least I didn't cancel it, so when we got round to BBQ'ing, the sun came out as well. Stoopid weather! Won't be able to make it to the Open Dagen this year. Better luck next year!

Well, the good part about bad weather during a BBQ probably is that You can always set things up hear the shed. Won't be that easy though if You're planning on having a flying display though... Bad to hear You guy's aren't able to come over. Oh well, there's always next year. Should I be able to get some sweet shot's I'll post them over here somewhere in the "Research Corner". Just keep an eye open. "Check Six....." Spooky.
Najk
Hey Spooky, I sure hope you get some good shots, and share'em with us all who can't make it to Open Dagen...! Well.. I just don't hope, I'm pretty convinced you will.. :) That Vulcan would have been something, but I guess I'll have to wait another year to see it. Looking forward to hear all about the airshow and see some stunning photos! By the way, have you painted those Drakens yet..?

Aigore
Sorry...not forgotten...just not had time for it lately. Not my fault even.... been ordered to wake at a hospital for the last weeks, a person at work got himself an infection so he´s isolated at an infection ward and he needs attention 24/7 Since half the staff gone on vactaion we have something of a understaff disaster on our hands.... Getting right too it again when I get some vacation
JMan
LMAO........Its ok Janne, we all still love ya! Cant wait to see the next update, love those bangseats! Hey any chance you could do some type of a walkthrough on those harnesses you made? Cant believe you did all of that with just a little Tamiya tape! Edited July 2, 2009 by JMan
Aigore
Nothing fancy really....checked ref pics of the harnesses...laid out tape on a cuttingboard and cut the tape in stripes of different width and tried to match them to the pics Not that detailed erhaps but they give a nice and busy impression tho. Thinking of getting myself som PE buckles for future projects since it was really fun.....anybody got any hints of any PE sets with only buckles for modern jets? Aigore
Hmmm..maybe I should have another look at this build after the Sufa is done.....think I´ve had all the nightmares I´ll get from those vacu canopies (shiver)!
Kasatka
Dont worry Aigore! Looking at your build I would say that the canopies will be easy peasy for you =) cheer up! =) Sergey

Aigore
Time to breathe som life into another shelved project :D Rememeber the Seabird? Funny name really for an aircraft from a landlocked country when you think about it... oh well. Here we are, I´ve just finished sanding off the putty and noticed there was a step between the fuselage halfs right above the airintakes... So I brought fourth The Dremel, no point diddleying around with sand paper and stuff, nope this n eeds the powet tool approach and then some gentle puttying :D There, sanded and puttierd in an instant :D Then I put the horizontal stabs and the wings together... Wee fit issues here, once again I followed The Way of The Dremel and made short work of the unfitting issue! There, you go a long way with brute forvce on these short run kits :D Some gaps but that´s what putty is for.... Of course I made a do-do, I forgot to put the small wheel bays in before I glued the wings! So I had to spilit them open to insert the wells! That´s what it should look like! And here we are....some puttying and sanding to do Cheers!

ChippyWho
Think it's the theme for the spring :D/> That is a very promising looking Albatross -for me, preferable to squinting at the ubiquitous 1/72 option (or, for that matter, a Stormy Petrel on a stick!) It's a good theme, too: this has been mooted before, but maybe a 'Cobweb-blowing' GB could have some merit to jump-start some of our other shelf campers...?

JFVicente
Nice progress, friend! I must admit that I missed this thread when you started it time ago... Looks like a short run kit is always an extra challenge even for an experimented guy like you, but you will nail it, for sure. Juan
Aigore
Thanx Juan :D It's a 4 year old build... Most have probably forgotten about this thread :P
Troll
Hey! I have that kit too! Cool! One thing I've been wondering. Are the retractable steps always deployed when the canopy is open? Jorgen "Troll" Toll
