Starfighter84
Hi all guys! This is my last work... a Mirage 2000 (the old Heller kit re-boxed by Eduard) of the United Arab Emirates Air Force. I used the Renaissance Model resin set for the cockpit and the exterior details like the exhaust. The decal is Carpena. What do you think about it?? sorry for the low quality of the images... thank you! Edited May 31, 2009 by Starfighter84

zark
Well done. Knowing from first hand, is not a "shake & bake" kit your work is even more appreciated. Nice weathering...
Cyrus Tan
Very nice work! The pics look fine. Btw, how was the quality and fit of the RFlight cockpit set? I have the detail set and the fuel tank sets, but they seem a bit rough.
Azor
Marvelous! It's great to see this wonderful deltas in UAE markings. Tell me...how would you rate Carpena decals in terms of quality?
Starfighter84
Thanks for the appreciations! well, the Renaissance resin sets are not bad. The Pit looks very nice once ended... the only boring things is gluing the big number of PE parts. The exhaust is very beautiful but it's a little bit larger in comparison of the fusolage. For me, the flaps are too much "coarse" and not very easy to build up... The Carpena's decal are a disaster! these are very flat and fragile... but perhaps my decal sheet are too much old. Otherwise, the Carpena's sheet is the only one to reproduce an UAE Mirage... unfortunately! sorry for my english...bye! Edited May 23, 2009 by Starfighter84
