Moving threads for unfinished builds

Recommended Posts

Suppose your build is not finished yet (like mine ) and you want to continue showing your progress here on ARC. To lighten the load on the servers, the GB subforums will be killed off as soon as possible. Apparently, the number of threads is not so much an issue, but rather the number of subforums.

Okay, so you want to have your thread moved to a different part of the forum. Here's how it goes:

Step #1: Reporting your thread.

To report your thread for moving, click the "Report" button on the lower left of your post.

Step #2: Where do you want it moved to?

In the window that opens, enter which other subforum you want your thread moved to (red arrow). I think "In-Progress Pics" is the obvious choice here, but maybe you want "Airliner Modeling" or "Dioramas" ("Jets" and "Props" are busy enough on their own, so please don't request moves there :) ).

Then hit the "Submit Report" button (red circle).

And that's basically it. The mods will get notified of the report and move your thread as soon as possible.

When your thread has been moved, it is entered into the new subforum at the same date the last response to the thread was. That means if the last post to the thread was on, say, May 15th, you will find it in the new subforum at the same date. Because the "mainstream" forums have a higher traffic, it may occur that your thread will be a few pages back.
