Aigore
Starting yet another project... This shoud also be of the fast building kind or something like that Anyways I opened the box and oogled the bangseats....they looked a bit odd so I quickly checked out Alphajet on the Ejection site and wo and behold...if that´s a Martin Baker MK 10N you can spank my hiney and call me Judy! Well let´s at least make it Martin Bakerish..... BTW, the Mk 10 is about the same bang seat as in the Tornado but a little different version with canopy breakers on the headrest. OK...let´s take a little off the sides.....like so Alright, and then we can take some off the chin... The we clad it in plasticard....oh that evergreen! Where would I be without it? The horns....I mean the canopy breakers And some belts! There looking all better already! Oh Sorry I didn´t mention what I was about to build did I? well it´s a lil´ Alphajet from Fujimi... Just couldn´t help myself when I saw it at my plastic suppliers shop...so cute! Besides Benner made wanna do an Alphajet....and well I didn´t find any in 1/48th scale close by so I´m trespassing a bit with the 1/72nd scale crowd... Cheers!

I haven´t checked any refs for this I just went ahead and did something I thought looked alright :D Hope I won´t upset anybody. I drilled out the gun nozzle and well drilled a couple of more holes in the flame dampener just for the heck of it :P Here´s the gunpack assembled...it goes onto the belly of the jet, wonder what caliber it is? looks pretty mean even in 1/72! Couldn´t leave the wheels without some copper... And I replaced the pitot tube with piano wire... need to give it a once ofer with sanding paper tho Well that´s it for tonight... Cheers! JayBee
The Luftwaffe Alpha Jets have Stencel S-III seats installed, no Martin Baker seats. Take a look here Pavla 72042 will be a good choice, its a Harrier seat but looks similar to the S-III. You only have to scratchbuild the ejection pull rings on top of the seat. Aigore
Doh!!! :) Well just some minor modifications then! :D Thanx JayBe for the heads up!
Aigore
Well then, I had to do some corrections to the bang seats since they weren´t at all Martin Baker seats More like SJU-4 or Stencel S-III as JayBe pointed out After a little modification the seatsd ended up looking like this.. Not perfect but Stencelish :P Gonna be a closed canopy anyways! Cheers!
GreyGhost
Very nice start scratching some details ... This should really be an interesting build, we don't see to many Alphajets ... Gregg

Najk
Nice to see you've finally made it over from the Dark Side! Was it that Y-wing of yours that brought you to the true scale? Seriously, nice going on that bang seat, noone will tell the difference with a closed canopy anyway...:)
