Hurricane363
And here it goes......... I want to do a 1:32 F-16A. Can i do this from the Tamiya 'Thunderbirds' Kit? Nice and simple (i hope). Feel free to laugh at me if you really have to. Thanks in advance. Mat
Netz
You'll need a tail. Then the rest is up to your own AMS standards. Curt
JasonB
Tail would need changed. IP and consoles are different on the A model. I am sure there are some panel lines that would be different between the two, but that might not be a biggie. If you change the tail, you have a sizeable flat spot that you would need to fix, where the larger C model tail base covered. Depending on block version and time frame that you want to build, you might want to use the small horizontal stabs instead of the larger ones in the kit. Also the panels around the gun muzzle opening would be different. The original had a number of small holes ahead of the muzzle opening, and I believe four slots behind it. The C doesn't have the small holes, and only 2 slots. Don't know if the later configuration was retrofitted or not. You could source parts from the Hasegaw kit, though it has raised panel lines. richter111
BTW- Never feel like there is a stupid question. We all ask questions because we simply don't know. I have asked, and received so many good answers, that my modeling efforts have increased greatly.
