jrallman
Hi all! I am very glad to see the progress in this GB and some of the amazing builds that we are getting. Three quick notes about finishing your builds, two of which are in the GB rules and are just repeated here, the third is just something that has come up. 1. When you are finished with your build, we, the moderators, will place your build in the finished gallery. The gallery is an intentionally closed thread so that it will contain only the visual display of your finished work. For discussions and compliments, use the original build thread for each build, which is linked from the gallery post. This will keep the gallery clean and the comments and compliments right with the build of each subject. 2. Do not start a new thread once you have finished your build. This clutters the GB forum and can make it harder to find build threads. It also complicates the location of comments and compliments on builds since things are split between two posts. The mods have, and will continue to merge separate build and finished threads, but it is just easier if you keep everything in one thread. The finished gallery serves as a master finished build thread. Also, we post a link back to the build thread in each gallery post, and we want to be able to have that link go back to a full build, not just a build that isnt finished, or a finished build with no progress. 3. Once you have posted your pics, please do not alter or delete your hosting of these pics, otherwise the pics we have put in the gallery, as well as the ones in your build thread, will come up as broken links. We would like to have a finished gallery full of pics of your hard work, not broken pic links. That about covers it as we are just past the half way point. Excellent work so far and keep it up! If there are any questions, dont hesitate to ask. Thanks. Jay
WymanV
Sorry. Seeing there were only 17 posts on this GB I didn't think there would be a problem spending a couple hours writing up a story in a new post for everyone. Never noticed there was a rule about that. Won't happen again. Ken
jrallman
Its not a problem, just makes it easier to keep things straight, especially for us mods who need to make sure we get everything into the finished gallery. I think the story is a fantastic addition too.
chaparral 2F
I have a question what if your carrier aircraft markings are for a shore based unit, would this aircraft still qualify? Thanks Rene'.
jrallman
Sorry about the delay responding. If the aircraft modeled ever took off from or landed on a carrier, it qualifies. If not, no go, even if the type typically flies from carriers.
jrallman
FYI, we are coming up on the last month of this GB, so plan your builds accordingly!
