Now come on show us what you can do with matchbox kits. I know they are simple compared to some modern kits but that does not mean you cant make them into something good. Often with MB kits its the only kit of that aircraft available!

Oh goody, Julien gives me an excuse to go through my photobucket album looking for Matchboxes!

I'll spare you the Lightnings, they're keeping my build thread warm.

Here's the SBC-4 i did for the first M'box GB. Unlike the next two, this one was entirely OOB except for addition of stretched sprue rigging and antennae wires. i even put the pilots in

Not sure if you can qualify these as wonders, but a here is my matchbox collection from the 80's, in varying states of repair after more than a decade of storage......

Tiger Moth, Spitfire 22, Victor and PR9 Canberra

B-17G, Spitfire 9, A6M Zero, A-4M Skyhawk

F-86, Hawk, Mirage III, Ju-87D, P-47D, Meteor NF-14, P-51D, Me-109E, Strikemaster.

Harrier GR3 and FRS1

The bigger and more complicated ones were done by my Father, but the rest are interesting in the progression from almost no skill (like the Mirage) to getting at least the basics right (the Meteor) over the course of a few years.
