madmanrick
I have a question for the mold experts out there and a quick search did not turn up any helpful info. Concerning the 48th Revell Germany F-102 Delta Dagger, which version of the kit is in the box, is it the early version Case X (flat wingtips and rectangular elevons) or the later version Case XX (downturned wingtips and new elevon shapes)? TIA, Rick
Jennings
The original issue of the kit had the Case XX wing. The mold was permanently modified in the mid-1990s to do the Case X wing, so all subsequent releases have had that. J
kenlilly106
Has it been confirmed that the molds were permanently modified? I know there's a mold line in the wing that's not there on the CaseXX releases, I'm wondering if they did an insert? Ken
gmat
To add to Jenning's post above, the Hasegawa HM-160 kit also has the Case XX wings. Here is the decal. Best wishes, Grant
hooter
I've just bought this kit {No. 04586] from the Midland Air Museum at Coventry, and it definitely has the caseX wing, with markings for the 525th.
