Hi All

Here is my little flying circus. The kit is the Eduard Fokker DR1 dual combo.

I am going to do this out of the box but that still gets me pre cut masks and a bunch of PE. I am planning on doing Ltn Heramann Frommherz and Ltn Werner Stienhauser’s planes, which will require me to figure out how to do Fokker streaking (any ideas ??)

Anyways here is one of the planes cockpit details prior to buttoning it up

And the other put together

Here's a technique that a ran upon quite by accident.

First I sprayed on a thin coat of dark green, full coverage, then took a olive drab and thinned it heavily. with a 1/2 inch wide brush I began to brush/streak the diluted paint on, then as I was doing this streaking action, the base coat started to dissolve from the thinner, showing the plastic underneath, BUT it all stayed smooth and the wash actually tinted the grey of the plastic to olive, and I actually got a 3 tone finish out of it all.

Hi all

Here is another update I figured that the best way to finish the fokkers is to paint them prior to assembly. So here is the streaking

I also did a bit of work on the engine

Looking great, love the finish to the streaking.

But I think there wasn't any streaking on the axle wings. I think that they were either solid olive green over light blue or solid olive green top and bottom (depending on the aircraft).

Sorry about that, still looks good though.
