jugjunkie
Nice subject Indy, I was tempted to build my first car ever and went out and bought this very kit - but sanity prevailed and I sold it off again about 6 months ago, so I will be very interested to see what I missed. indydog
A bit of progress. I don't know who designed this but there are 13 parts in there so far!
Adam Baker
Wow man, I love the paint work on that engine. Looks really good.
indydog
Engine/trans/rear suspension done. The trans isn't attached to the engine yet as it gets installed at a later step.
1/48 scale pilot
Nice progress I like the finish on the engine
jugjunkie
That is looking very cool Indy, are you going to spray the yellow body parts or leave the original colour?
smutz
Very nice work, the engine looks impressive. Andy.
indydog
Chassis coming along slowly: Body painted:
indydog
A bit more progress. The date on this kit is 1983 and I can tell. The exhaust is the worst fitting of any Tamiya kit I've built. In fact, the center pipe on the left side wouldn't fit at all, I had to cut it in half. Thank God, you can't really tell.
slick95
Very nice work! Looks like a lot of detail in the kit! SLICK
indydog
Thanks guys. More progress, she's about ready for decals:
indydog
She's finished! I had to wait for the replacement decals from Indycals, as the kit ones were too yellowed to use. The inside job... I'll take some better pics tomorrow and post them in the "Completed" thread. Edited September 17, 2009 by indydog
Andy Mullen
Superb finish
Graemeb
Excellant, looks really good. Just one small little point. Do the dirty on the tires and remove the mould seam.
Trojan Thunder
Nice result I like the engine detail. Was that OOB or did you add the piping to spruce it up.
indydog
Thanks guys. Roy, it's OOB, only addition was the decals. Edited September 17, 2009 by indydog
GretarBill
Hi there. I have that one. I did it many many years ago. It is however no 15, Prost. I also did it OOB. You did a quite a good job on yours :) Best regards Grétar W. G.
HOLMES
Hey Indydog.. EXCELLENT finish....SUPERB!! :)
Adam Baker
Great job. They really packed a lot of detail into that thing OOB. Only critique I could give, would be to have sanded down the tires to get rid of the mold seam. Other than that, it looks great!
