lockheed2004
I am building the monster 1/48 B-1B. One of the wing halves has some minor warping towards the end, on the flap. How can I fix this without bending the rest of the wing. I tried placing the entire wing underneath a large stack of books, which did not work.
Paul T
Lockheed2004, Place the offending part in very hot water, but not boiling. With your fingers re-bend to desired shape, going back & forth to the hot water as needed.Once you are happy with the shape, place it in cold water to set the shape.Works like a charm. You could use a hot hair drier ,but the hot water routine is safe and most effective. Guest JWalker217
Water method works great, but on larger parts you can also use a hairdryer before and/or after clamping the part to an even surface..had to do that on the BIG BAD C-5 kit a few years back. HTH
