Thrushcom
Hi all, I am working on my Revell 146 and am having a little trouble figuring out exactly how the main gear is attached within the wheel well. The instructions do not provide information on a positive location. There are several small slots very close to where I think the gear doors should be. Is this where the main gear fit? Any detail pictures or info from those who have built this kit would be much appreciated. Will be finishing the kit in AirCal colors. Thanks, Chris

Yes, the instructions are awful regarding the main gears. I was so frustrated, not to mention, the parts are so darned small. I tried to take a picture of the Tristar 146 I am working on, but my pictures on my cell phone are not transferring to my email. The instructions on 5 and 6 (if you have the same sheet as I do), give a better explanation of how they should be put in. If that makes sense? Oh yeah, AirCal is going to look sweet on the 146! GCA333
I have no regrets about putting the gear up on my RJ-85. Its a great kit otherwise, no fit problems at all! Looking forward to seeing the pics!
dhtrident2e
I built one years ago and dont remember having trouble with the landing gear. What I remember is that the gear doors are oversized and way too thick. They look awful. By the way I also had trouble with the wings flexing at the fuselage joint and cracking the putty i had used. I suggest yu use epoxy for that joint. Saludos trident
