jordan03
Here is my finished Kempf Fokker Dr.I. I did not post any build pics because I had a horrendous time with this one! I think I actually hated almost every step of this one. I had pretty high hopes for it but am probably just not ready for it yet. I almost didn't post this ,but I figured I "finished" it so I should post. Thanks for looking and listening -Brian
moeggo
Looks great Brian, What went wrong with it? Edited August 25, 2009 by moeggo
JasonB
Looks very nice to me, and ended up MUCH better than mine, which now resides in a thousand pieces somewhere... Your "Fokker streaking" came out nice, that was my downfall. Well done!
jordan03
Looks great Brian, What went wrong with it? Well, I screwed up the cockpit so bad that I had to take an orbital sander to correct the mis-alignment to the bottom seam! Nothing in the pit is lined up correct (hence no pics!) a lot of pieces ended up MIA on the basement floor, and I think it just became one -of-those-builds you read about and say you "win". It could just be that it's been about 85-90 deg with 100% humidity for the last couple of weeks and I'm cranky, we'll see if some time away from it helps my outlook! Thanks Moeggo and Jason for the encouraging words Your friend -B
The Mikester
Brian, Certainly can't tell that you had any issues, what a great looking build! :)
