Supertom
Hi everyone, Got a math question here. If I have a 1/72 image that I want to convert to 1/48 and 1/32, what would the mathematical calculation I would need where result x is a percentage? The idea is to plug in the percentage increase in Photoshop. Thanks!
72linerlover
Hi Supertom 1/72 to 1/48 >150% 1/72 to 1/32 >225% (1/48 to 1/32 >150%) Euge
Silverback
Hi everyone,Got a math question here. If I have a 1/72 image that I want to convert to 1/48 and 1/32, what would the mathematical calculation I would need where result x is a percentage? The idea is to plug in the percentage increase in Photoshop. Thanks! Start with the divisor of the existing scale (72) and divide it by the divisor of the desired scale (48, 32, whatever). Since you know you want an enlargement, the percentage will be greater than 100%. Arrange the two terms until the dividend yields a number greater than 1. Multiply that answer by 100 to convert it to a percentage. Example: 1/72 to 1/48 ->->-> 72/48=1.5 As a percentage, 1.5 is 1.5x100=150% Example: 1/48 to 1/24 ->->-> 48/24=2.0 As a percentage, 2.0 is 2.0x100=200% Reductions will result in a percentage less than 100%. Example: 1/32 to 1/72->->-> 32/72=0.44444, or 44.444% (on a copy machine, that's 44%) Phil
