geedubelyer
Hello Alexander, Your little "submarines" look splendid. I admire the way you managed to fashion slots in the heads of the fasteners and the hinge looks so even and crisply defined. Remarkable attention to detail. :D

Ah, Guy, thanks for dropping by and nice words! I'm just trying to reach the notch that always a horizon for me... so many inspiring builds, so many things to aspire. Modeling is a very nice school where you are taught, first of all, patience, for patience is a cornerstone of perfection, I think. Cheers! Alexander.

Zactoman
Hey Chris! If you've got no updates at all, then may I place my own? LOL Oh the pressure! Sorry for my lack of updates. Between filling orders and doing chores I have been keeping pretty busy lately. The AKU-470s are all finished. The APU-73 is finished. The APU-470 is almost finished. I'll try to post some new pics soon. I'm hoping to have all the pylons in molds by this weekend and get on the instruction sheet(s). To those who have already purchased the wingtip pylons: I will be offering (for a limited time) the rest of the pylons in the set minus the cost of the wingtip pylons you have already purchased. Details will be posted here and e-mailed soon. If you have not purchased the wingtip pylons and want the whole set, please don't purchase the wingtip pylons now. The full set will be ready soon! The total price will be the same. Ordering part now and the rest later will just make my job more confusing... Outstanding job on the MiG stubs and the APU-60 Alexander  MiG-29 fans will love you for this! dehowie
Cant wait Chris these pylons are amazing pieces of craftmanship. Great efforts guys. Darren
Eastern
Hi all! Being much inspired by Chris' outstanding work on the APU-470 and Su-27 wing tip AA-11 Launcher underneath area, I managed to replicate his modeling exploit and make something alike on my APU-60. But how ever hard I tried, my effort came to much modest result. The "guts" came out not as crisp and flawless as Chris did. Never the less, I think that the pylon looks much better than in-kit one.;) So, here is the result of my modest attempts. :D The main pylon is completed and the intermediate part is left to replicate to adopt the pylon to be fitted on Mig-29. Hey Chris, your turn to show us your smashing efforts. (nudge, nudge) Cheers! Alexander.
Zactoman
Those are some nice looking guts you've got there! (Contender for quote of the day) Hey Chris, your turn to show us your smashing efforts. (nudge, nudge) The pressure continues...Now I feel obligated. Unfortunately (?) I've been busy filling a bunch of orders lately. It seems that a few of you decided to buy yourselves Christmas presents! My apologies to any wives who may have secretly bought them for you! I know that Alexander really wants to see what I've been doing to his wing mounted APU-73 and APU-470 but they aren't quite ready for photos yet  So,,, here are the finished AKU-470s. Top to bottom: Trump rear centerline pylon Zactomodels rear centerline Trump forward centerline pylon Zactomodels forward centerline Trump intake pylon Zacto intake pylon (right intake) Can you spot the differences? :P
Berkut
Wow, talk about differences. Not just in detail, but obviously shapewise.
geedubelyer
SCH-AAA-WINGGG!! Great job guys So much better than the kit stuff and you'll save folks a ton of scratch building. Keep up the stellar work. Now, where can I get a good deal on a -UB kit?

Hi Chris! Sorry for the pressure and thanks much for posting your stunning work results. The differens is obvious. I suspect that the Trumpy guys have signed a contract with you to make some details absolutely incorrect thus giving you a job. :D Seriously, I must thank much all plastic manufacturers for very nice opportunity they give to many of us to create amazing and sometimes seem incredible things. The ARC is always the great and endless source of inspiration for me and, I'm sure, for all fellow modelers. Now, where can I get a good deal on a -UB kit? Hi Guy! Thanks for nice words and encouragement, much appreciated. I think, you really must saving aiming to add one more giant to your stash. The UB is a real beaut, it would be a gem of your great collection. Cheers! Alexander. Edited December 28, 2009 by Eastern
