jbrundt
I've been working on this one for a while now. It's been picked up and put down several times but now I think I have enough motivation to finish it since I've started working on it the past week and a half and can see light at the end of the tunnel. I started with the Hasegawa F-16B kit that I snagged off ebay with the BB pit and the guy threw in all the details from the CJ (big wheels, launcher rails, AAMRAM's, landing gear, etc.). I added the resin spine and associated IAF details from A.E.F. (along with their corrected drop tanks). I also added the Aires wheel wells. The big mouth intake area required more filler and sanding than I would have thought or liked but it is what it is. I have the Hase 'D' weapon set so I can add the correct targeting pods and armament. Jeff
Aigore
Ooooooh, looking good! Could I trouble you with taking close ups of the areas att the rear of the cockpit tubs? I couold use that as referense material since I´m going to scratch those details in my Sufa build. Cheers!
jbrundt
More progress has been made. Painted with Mr Color and Tamiya acrylics..... Slow process to be sure....the wheel wells will be painted next then I can start decals. Jeff

Aggressor Supporter
Sharp work so far. I especially like the lines you added for the static chargers on the nose.
Ken Middleton
great work Jeff - I too like the details added to the radome
jbrundt
Been a while since I've updated.... The reason is ordinance. You probably spend as much time building/painting/detailing what hangs underneath the plane as you do on the actual airframe itself. Case in point...my load for my Barak: Decaling of the actual airframe will start soon... Jeff Edited November 25, 2009 by jbrundt
Marlin
Hhhhmmmm....... Nice and clean. Great work. Keep it up and keep the pics coming. /Bosse
doctorpepper
have you tried dry fitting? on the actual jet, the TER is never loaded with 3 GBU-12s when there is a tank, due to clearance issues. even less clearance with 600G tanks..

Plenty of room. Not a factor at all. Jeff
Matt Walker
I think what DrPepper was meaning is that the "real" aircraft can't carry 3 bombs on the TER, due to the possibility of the inner bomb hitting the tank on release. But it's you model if you want to leave the 3 bombs on...... M
jbrundt
Well, it's done. A few quick snaps for the time being. I'll get a build article with better pics soon. And yes, I now know that "Brakeet" is a made up word and it should be "Barak". Let the criticisms fly. Jeff Edited January 10, 2010 by jbrundt
